In the context of Studio 2, D.Naicu gives a masterclass on timber design for elastic timber gridhsells.
Dragos has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath where he focused his work on lightweight structures. He specialises in form-finding using computational and mathematical methods across a wide spectrum of typologies, with a particular love for elastic timber gridshells. He has experience in computational engineering and design working for Bollinger+Grohmann in Berlin and AKT II in London on a variety of project types and scales. His work also addresses state-of-the-art research applied in the practice of structural engineering.
