I love how the artwork used for the Dark Age of Technology Warp Drive (@28:38 in this video, or @18:22 in the original) is literally just a brighter, more advanced-looking version of the "space-fold" drive from Event Horizon. The spiked ball thing in the middle looks the same, just lit up and with more support machinery attached at the top and bottom, and the upper walls are lined with those weird spikes, just like on the Event Horizon. It's a neat way of tying the two together even closer, and of showing a clear progression of Warp travel technology over the millennia.
There’s a krork in Trazyn’s library. No mention of it being special in any way, just a normal boy. He’s 13 METERS tall. And is wearing the most advanced Power Armour in the Galaxy.
Rhather than awakening when the crusades, age of discovery and the Black plague happened, I subscribe to the sentiment that the awakening of each individual god triggered each event in question, instead of the reverse.
the theory i have is that the warp "gods" were benign Warp entities at some point neither good or bad just there and when the War in Heaven was in full swing is when the warp became corrupted and the Old Ones weaponizing the warp are what made the warp as it is now with Khorn being born first at the start of the WIH and Nurgle being the next one from the Necrontyr's fear of plague and disease and death manifesting in the warp and Tzeentch being a after birth with all the change, evolution, mutation, intrigue, ambition, knowledge, sorcery, trying to change fate/destiny, lies and trickery going on.
The first three Chaos Gods only truly gained consciousness in our Dark Ages. However, the first undivided Daemons were born following the War in the Heavens.
@@darkinnovator2479 True that is the GW story canon but for me it feels off in that humans who were real young and not as numerous and plentiful in the grand scheme of things with little to no warp/psyker powers at this point in time in the Dark Ages are the ones to "give birth to the big three" meanwhile it took untold trillions of Eldar to Descend into Decadence and trillions of Eldar dying to "give birth to Slaanesh". For me the Dark Ages are when the big three chose a name for themselves or were named but were here long before this time just unnamed.
@@matthewdougherty1159Humanity didn’t give birth to the three, they were born around those time. The true cause for their birth is from other Chaos Daemon eating and absorbing each other until they became the Three Chaos Gods as we know them now. I’m sure the Dark Ages accelerated the process somewhat but otherwise their birth was inevitable. At least that’s what I got from it.
@@matthewdougherty1159 I agree, I think the War in Heaven is a more appropriate reason for the Chaos God's. The C'tan and their pleasure in bringing despair, the Necrons disease and plague and fear of death, the Deception and schemes of both the C'tan and Necron, the weaponizing of the warp, the creation of the Aeldari and Krorks The war in heaven was the singular most powerful war in the entire setting where every race used unfiltered psychic power and unfathomable firepower.
So much info for a new person to take in but for those of us that know there's so much painfully left out. Gotta love the Grim Dark even its for nothing else but it's size.
I would also say that beginning with the Big Bang and merging the lore with the actual history of the real universe is brilliant. It gives newcomers a perfect jumping off point and orients them in a way they can understand easily.
So the C'tan the Necron first encountered was the Night Bringer and if I remember correctly it's theorized the Nightbringer was partly at fault for their star. The deceiver was just the one that made them their offer about metal bodies.I also believe there's a theory the Beast was a Krork I could be wrong but thats I've heard I dont know it its ever been stated as fact but I think the theory is to explain the ridiculousness of what it pulls off in the War of the Beast books.
What the Golden Throne is Necron tech? Didn't know that. Is it by chance a modified Furnace from bio transference? Hm probably got stasis fields built in and that's why the emperor is not completely decomposed yet. Now sacrificing 1000 ppl a day makes sense, convert their power into energy to use :O, instead of what the c'tan did and ate it.
could be. sadly I don't see anyone letting a necron into the throne room to confirm if the Golden Throne is modified necron technology or not. though I imagine the entire Imperium would break mentally if they found out the technology of an enemy is keeping their god alive.

In defense on my man tryzan he wasn't wrong. The old one did make the choice not to interfere with them which through inaction making the choice for them.
The best part about it is it feels like a David Attenborough documentary, Just done by our favorite Egyptian robot instead
I know right. I got the same feels.
This is what he wants the museum to be. This is him doing a presentation with full pomp and dramatic flair.

I wonder what hell he had to go through to grab just the one and what could happen if he ever decided to set it loose for any reason.
It feels fitting that Trazyn is British.
40k as a whole is british

This feels like an introduction to Astartes...if Games Workshop did not fuck it up.
Okay who else besides me seriously felt like they were standing right next to Trazyn the infinite when you were watching this I know I did.
I did too
