The F-4 is such a good 109. Even in IL-2 it’s one of my favourites because it’s so light, been a while since I flew it so I think they will change today. Nice game superbly flown as always.
Defyn, you are an amazing pilot in WT. Much better than me. But dude why do good players always make their engine temp go red to the point of it damaging the engine? Every single time I watch WT videos, I always have this weird anxiety and I keep watching the engine temps. 😂
The thing with Mk. 1&2 Spitfires is that they require MEC to not suck and even if you use it, you will still have lower tge prop pitch, just to prevent your oil from cooking. The Mk. 2b is also a discount Mk. 5, but with none of the good bits
About the question (9.15min) Yes please, I think I speak not only for myself when I say we very much like to see the footage. On a side note... Keep up the good vids, I'm only seeing the vids for about a week but I noticed a big improvement in my games eversince. I love the Spitfire MkIIb. Sure the F4 can out energy it all day, but it's also a full BR higher, and you don't get into full uptiers very often. apart from that it's climbrate seems to be pretty good, and you outturn everything which isn't japanese. you seem to get to altitude about as fast as the 109's you usually face (E's and F2's) meaning that the energy-difference doesn't tend to be that high, and you have the advantage during the initial engagement because of the more maneuverable plane. Sure, decent 109 pilot's will be able to out energy you eventually (especially F4's), but most will make a mistake before that, ending in you being on their six and spraying them down. Also, at 3.0 you face many new players, so mistakes and poor energy management are very common. Even the hispanos seem to work more often at that BR-range , I guess because of the planes generally not being very sturdy compared to later fighters. However the overheating is an absolute pain! You constantly have to worry about it. losing sight of your engine for just 2-3 minutes is enough to cause serious and potentially fatal damage. I lost track of the amount of times I was forced to land just short of the runway , and that is by far the most fustrating feature this plane has.
Agreed, but the biggest disatvantage of the Mk2b is the low ammo-capacity. And the overheating gets under Control with MEC and props between 80 & 90% and coolingflaps fully open. I use MEC when i'm climbing and while Merging, I turn it Off.

you mentioned that you could out power the spits because I think you said their super charger isn't effective over 4000 meters (sorry if I'm paraphrasing you there inaccurately). What spitfires do you need to grind to where they are competitive with german fighters at high altitude (ie at 5K and above)?

dude i was just watching your video and logged into WT for some 109 F4 action.i always take min fuel on this thing and just before starting i remembered what you said about min fuel but decided to take min anyways. guess who got killed because of that. it was a 1v1 and i had already killed 2 . it was not a kill game but still a carry which i failed at. it was a cannon p51and i had every advantage except fuel. from now on Ill take 30min worth of fuel for any plane. Edit: wrong video btw.
Personally, I always run 100 in the climb, then run ~33% after I climb. Cold maps like this, you can get away with 20 or even less, on hotter maps it'll require 35-40.

1:30 explain the whole issue with that tier in wt, no matter what you do bf109 always, always climb faster. and is not about skill, this guy knows how to play i saw vids in p51 and hes a beast. but this airplane need a rebalance

Do u recomend to lower the % on the radiator/oil radiator on most Bf 109s? I mean F-4 and up to the K4.
From the G6 is later you don't have to go 100% on the Fs and the early Gs you are kinda forced to unless cold maps
