Holy crap. I love this amp. The attenuator is an awesome addition, makes it actually usable as a bedroom practice amp. Plus it sounds incredible.
Do you know how hard, at 1 am, I had to think what that drop D riff is. A - Nothing. And now I need a hobnob and a lay down. Love that riff, thanks for the blast Chappers

I absolutely love this amp. So simple, and the tone is out of this world. The only downside is that its heavier than shit.

Yes finally a Mesa without messing around with to many toggles switches. I love the straight up design of the tone controls life is so much easier when adjusting on the fly in a real gig situation.

The riff at 13.04 is "nothing" by a band called "A" who were a one hit wonder some time ago.
The manual says you'll burn through tubes much faster if you use the attenuator all the time, because the tubes will be runing so hot. It's not bad for the amp, you'll just run through tubes quickly. Higher the attenuation, the faster you'll run through the tubes

I really dig this boogie the vintage gain is great and has lots of useable features reminds me as far as tone and loud of the SUNN amplifiers

Royal Atlantic is freakin tops. I'm so use to my friends Triple, EVH, and all sorts of turn everything to 11 and add active pickups on top. Nice to hear Boogie amps can do some tasteful blues to rock 'n roll.
Man i would give an arm and a leg for captn's arm!

This amp can also do really heavier, brutal metal tones. Mark Morton from LOG uses this
I never knew that thing about all the tone knobs being at 12 o'clock. Very interesting and cool.
Nice demo. This amp doesn't hide your mistakes like some other amps. It is a nice amp but I think I still like the Mesa Electra Dyne more...

This actually sounds great
I currently own a Diezel Herbert and Diezel VH4. FOR ME, the Diezels sound better at low volumes than the Royal, but once they are at band volumes, the Royal sounds equally as good.
The Royal has beautiful cleans. I haven't tried every EL34 amp out there, but the Royal has the best cleans of any EL34 amp I've played.

You have got to do a demo of the Ibanez Fireman when you get it in stock. That guitar just looks KILLER!
Some how it reminds me of the JCM900, especially the High Gain channel.

That is why I am looking at the TA-30. Lunch-box sized and cool! But watch these guys' demo on that, and then watch this one again...they say "We just did the TA-30 demo before this...and the 100 watt head really opens things up..." The TA-30 demos are WAY good though. Look up the one with Kris Dilbeck. Amazing.
Hey Rob. Just a suggestion. Is that the Lonestar cab? Generally speaking, some of the distortion tones with them Boogies would sound "best" with Vintage 30s... :)

are you doing some kinda techy thing where the volume is matched to the actuall volume relative to your speaking? like in some of your other vids? if so this would make a killer bedroom amp!

To me, Marshalls distortion/gain channels always sound to grungy for metal, but then you see bands like BLS play and they can get them pretty heavy, and I know Metallica plays on Mesa's and Randalls. So Rob, whats your favorite amp to play some Metal on?

You've noticed that honk as well? I hear it on the last two Dream Theater albums and it really bothers me. This amp sounds pretty cool, the Engl Thunder has a similar sound in a smaller size, wattage and price. It has a shared EQ but still sounds pretty good.
Interestingly, the vintage high gain channel on this amp sounds *very* similar to the Jet City JCA50H's normal channel with the gain up high. First time I've liked a Boogie amp, too...although I don't think I'll ever be able to afford it ;)
We need more Captain blues!
So, if you guys were going to choose between a royal atlantic or TA 30 which would you go for? Also what kind of cab would you select to acompany it? Thanks in advance guys; really dig your channel

@yhcnoR It just love the sound of it! It would be one of those songs I would listen with the amp about half-way up!
I know im at berklee and i told my parents to try to sell mine at home because its just too much. Im probably gonna get a two rock amp to replace it. Its sad though because that thing was literally the greatest sounding amp I've ever played through

Because Anderton's is widely acclaimed? Hey he's OK, right? If it wasn't for Mr C. Anderton, I wouldn't have spent 14 hours looking for specific chips to complement Mr.A's awesome fuzz box (installed in a mini Pringles Chip tube no less) and it sounded fukkin awesome. But Chapper's OK!

How do you guys think something like this would compare to a Splawn Quickrod? I am mostly a soloist and prefer a singing, thick lead tone that has some chew...not stiff like the Rectifiers.

Is the blue Les Paul a traditional? How does it differ from the standard? Feel and sound wise. Anybody know? Was thinking of getting me some.
