Steve's father showed me his collection in O'Fallon, IL years ago and I saw that Cord when it was white before Steve restored it. His father was also a very nice and interesting person to talk with. We miss him.
Thanks Clark and your wife.....👍
Lovely looking Model "A". The only thing wrong with it, is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the cabin.
My uncle had a Cord. My Grandfather made him junk it because it kept breaking axles. It would probably is worth more than the house today
Great job on Keith’s bronze bearings Clarke!
You should put the measurements up for that spring. it looks like a forged truck spring would work great for that. And like you if i can find the time i might be able to make one for you.
Nice pick up for the spare.
Steve must have known Glenn Pray, who moved the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg plant from Indiana to Oklahoma in the early 60's.
Thank you for sharing the bowling and car collection along with the casting.
Those Cords were expensive even when knew they are a fortune these days!
Thank you, Clark
Thanks for sharing
That's one fine looking automobile.. Love that model A pickup too.
I hope I did not offend you with comment about the shovel totally a joke my apogees. Loved the bronze anvil my wife purchased from you thanks
Glad to see you having some fun. You’re in a hard line of work and a fun break goes a long way.
I'ld have a black smith make a new spring to those dimensions, and make a stress spreader from a thinner piece of spring steel.
Can’t you make up a couple springs out of an old leaf spring?
Good to see you folks are doing fine. Give dollar a scratch from me. Enjoyed!
Put a steel plate on the back of it, you're right, that it is a stress point on the bolt.
The bolt might make 2 springs out of one. having it loose might do away with the spring effect.
