I can't help it, I have to comment on this remarkable performance!
First of all, It is a shame that obviously just a few people seem to show interest in music: 263 subscribers and not even 1300 views for this video, that's very sad.
    But I digress.
I happened to stumble across this video, I was looking for a good recording of the Gran Duo Concertante - and here I am. And I'm really speechless. This "little" bravura piece is a great challenge for both soloists. I myself have been a double bass player for more than 30 years, I have played this piece myself several times and I therefore know that it is a challenge. My tribute to the young bassist who masters this difficult piece with flying colours and at just 18! Very impressive performance. The same goes for the young lady on the violin: here the instrument and, of course, the player are put to the test and the young lady plays wonderfully. Really, two such young soloists who play this highly demanding work so magnificently - I am speechless. And we don't want to forget the orchestra. Well, the orchestral part is not a great technical challenge, but the difficulties of the orchestra in solo concerts are not in the technical claim either. Attention, flexibility, sensitivity, they literally need to carry the soloists on their hands, THIS is the real task and this very young orchestra does it very well. I am happy to have discovered this fantastic video by chance.
I wish all the young artists who have been involved here (whether in the orchestra or as a soloist) all the best for your future. All of you have great talent!
And finally, please excuse my English, actually I'm from germany.
