My family grew tomatoes in the 60's and 70's starting with Del Monte then Red Gold in Orestes, Indiana. My grandfather and I ran a road side market. That gave me good money in high school and college. Due to family illness, we stopped growing around 1980. There's nothing like having a field riped tomato. I miss those times. Red Gold was a great company to grow for. However everything was done by picking by hand. No machine. I picked many tomatoes and can't be fooled by some of these markets.
This is a good documentary for tommato growers. Plants per acre and production of tommato per acre is important. But main issue is to change the crop in to end product. As a vegetable item it can catch a price of two dollars to few cents per kilo in Pakistan.
Hi sir red gold tomatoes,i want to know how to sign a contract with your Company, what is the condition.so if i undertand well your red gold seeds is contrôled no body can get it,he can,t be sold anywhere.
