This movie grew on me after the second viewing. I've loved this movie for many years now and am so excited to check it out with DV. The previous 4k mastered blu ray was already fantastic so I expect this to be near perfection. Thanks for the review!!
This Columbia classic thing is so frustrating. I’ll buy a collection from a director or an actor, but a studio? It means I have to buy 3-4 films with zero interest to get 2-3 I care about. I’ll wait for the inevitable single discs. I’ll buy this for sure. Thanks Adam.
Like many have said I'd love to get this... as a standalone disc. And can we please get Who's That Knocking At My Door?, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, and After Hours on bluray already for crying out loud. 🙄 Sheesh...
What? Only ONE copy of Dead & Buried?!.! Yes, here I am! The lunatic who bought all three! Lol…Bill Lustig, you really irritate me with the multiple covers, KNOWING that I cannot pick just one….
Yes the 4k standalone is just a matter of time cmon a movie studio that doesn't want to are more money, why do u think they released this in a columbia box set which I hate unless it's a standalone box set for one film, like the universal monster 4 film set not interested unless it was a 4k box with all the films either that or just stand alone 4k edition or like the steelbooks on zavii

One of my favorite films. Waiting on a standalone release
You, me and everyone else. No way I’m blowing over 100$ when most of the movies in that collection are trash
A classic film and one of Robert De Niro's great pieces of work.

Just bought this off EBay and I am excited to see and hear the transfer. I had to have it..
Cybill shephard could have got me to do anything flashing those cute eyelashes

An After hours criterion Blu-ray would be one of my most anticipated physical media releases
@@nationalcoasternews5798, I'd rather not Criterion but I'd take it.
I have seen this movie in every form of video. I wish you could show screen captions.

Solid review. I wonder how much of a difference there is between the 4k and the mastered in 4k blu ray disc?
This is the first time that Taxi Driver is released in 4k
@@bignak007 there’s a mastered in 4K blu ray disc which I own.
ALL regular 1080p discs are the same. Even the mastered in 4K bluray is identical. Now we have a 2160p disc which is the best by far.
@@FastEddie86 the Blu-ray is a 4k scan. The actual 4k disc from the set is the way to go
Do you think this will get released on its own? Thanks
Yes, but we still haven't even got the individual release of Lawrence of Arabia, from the first one. So I wouldn't hold my breath.
It's so irritating. The company went through the trouble to press them on a disc only to... not release them? Ummm?

Just hope the title will be released on stand-alone……
How can i buy Taxi Driver only? I don’t want the collection
Try eBay.
How’d you get the 4K movie by itself without the box set?
I didn’t.

if you really just want a specific title try the secondary market. places like ebay, mercari etc
@@444chroma I will eventually
Taxi Driver came out in 1976, not 1979.
