      @@Mayaanneser18 I didn’t believe you at first because it’s rare to see that kind of talent at such a young age, but by your content you’re good for a sixth grader! If I could offer some tips, take some time to work on tightening your embouchure, your sound is a bit airy. Other than that, keep going at it!
      FYI, just because you had an easy time migrating between instruments doesn’t mean everyone does, so be careful of your cockiness, you’re gifted, not everyone is.

      @@AJGaming3032it seems like the idea is to increase pressure by making the passageway smaller by using your tongue to narrow the space in your mouth? And I’m thinking to get really low notes to ring out its more like widening the airways so less pressure but more volume of air? I just got a sax today and am trying to wrap my head around it lol

    I can tell you have a lot of experience making instruments do exactly what you want them to, and that’s the biggest thing with saxophone. Learning how to sound good is the easy part, it just takes time. Being able to convey feeling and power through your notes is the harder part and what matters most.

  • @Enkai_Star_2
    @Enkai_Star_2 23 дня назад

    Honestly you sound very good considering you only played for such a short period of time! but one thing that would have probably helped would be tonguing because the notes sounded all together but tonguing separates them and then you’ll have an easier time with counting breathing and phrasing

    Saxophone is easy by technicality when you consider what is has, but in actuality it isn’t. Here is googles logic, Saxophone is a wind instrument. But since it isn’t brass and it’s a woodwind, your embouchure will stay the same throughout all ranges including altissimo. So it’s easier technically speaking. But even as a woodwind it’s one of the easiest, because it uses a reed. But even as a reed instrument it’s easier because it’s a single reed instrument not a double reed, yet even as a single reed, it’s the easiest single reed because of the fact that there is no difficulty of covering tone holes, just buttons that do that for you. But that’s an awful way of thinking about it. I don’t think difficulty of instruments is in an order via checklist. As well as google neglecting the fact that all wind instruments are tough to begin on, compared to non wind instruments. I would definitely agree that should an experienced wind player that doesn’t play saxophone pick it up, they would not have as much trouble as a non wind instrument, but that’s just obvious. Another aspect that makes saxophone “easier” is the fact that the saxophone features a wide range of tone variations. Listen to classical saxophone and you’ll realize that there is a clear difference and it almost sounds like a different instrument. As a saxophonist you can make the sound of the instrument whatever you like, and the limitations of sound are lot lesser compared to other instruments. Jazz players let the reed vibrate a lot to produce the sound you hear, while classical players will use their lip to control the speed of the reed to make it sound more like a traditional woodwind. There are even wacky forms of saxophone played where they make use of slap tonguing, multiphonics, and bends to create very interesting music. Duduk style is an example of how there aren’t many limitations with what is possible.
