Shiffrin... a prodigy!
Nothing can match the live call that was made on Shiffrin's run.
An amazing save. One ski on the hill. Balance. She knew if she could get that one edge down, she could carve hard enough to get her CG back over her skis. She knows, instinctual training, the importance of one edge. Very icy and rough Russian slope.
How in the world did she recover and for a bit ski on one ski...the slalom? Amazing skills!

reattiva, ma soprattutto dotata di una tecnica
sciistica mostruosa, capace di adattarla a tutti i tipi di neve.

I am a 12 year old ski racer at buck hill and I always thought it was crazy how the older racers could make those comebacks

I remember watching this with my family, I think the air went out of the room when Shiffrin's ski popped into the air like that. Amazing save.

Sochi snow quality was awful, icy on the morning and like soup after !
But the course was set to give them an extreme challenge.

6:31 I really admire and appreciate the grace Marlies Schild showed there, especially knowing how much it would mean to her to win gold in her last olympics. But a gold medal is not more valuable than your heart. She showed that her heart is solid gold.

Whoever the olympics people are that run the actual olympic websight they need to do a total makeover of all new people. The wesite is a nightmare in which you cannot tell what you are watching whether an old video or something new. There is no clear page that tells the events you can click on--you have to do a deep pandoras box of 20 clicks to try to reach any destination. Everyone says the same thing. Its unfollowable.
