Durm didn't play a minute though tbf and was only on the national team that year because he could play wingback on both sides. It's pretty telling too that Löw opted to play Höwedes as FB on the left even though he was a natural CB who had played some FB on the right before. Höwedes obviously did great defensively giving Lahm lots of freedom on the right side to do whatever PS: back to Durm... he was only a rotational player for Dortmund at the time anyway which made his nomination even wilder
Not the smoothest of rebuilds but was actually good to see a bit of jeopardy at the other end of the table. Great work as always, guys, your rebuilds are the best out there in my view 👍
I have really enjoyed this rebuild! I am from Germany and Kaiserslautern is a club that needs to get back into the Bundeslga, I hope the league gets extended in the future because so many big clubs with awesome fanbases are stuck in the lower leagues (1860, Düsseldorf, Saarbrücken etc)... Btw if you ever visit a German stadium make sure to either eat a Bratwurst with a bread roll or a Currywurst with french fries, these are the best stadium dishes! PS: Only the first two leagues are called Bundesliga. The third division is called 3. Liga (pronounced dritte Liga) so just leave the Bundes- syllable out :)
As a man who lives in the city and supports Nürnberg, would love to see that. Sadly our team is not only sleeping, is almost dying, we are on the fight to avoid relegation playoffs from the 2nd to 3rd german league.
Thought I wasn't reading correctly, finally a rebuild with my favorite German club. Thank you very much, had a lot of fun and yes, with no money in the coffers, this rebuild is an eternal project. But you made the best of the current situation
Bochum actually won their last game against union Berlin in the second season and so got into playoffs against greuther furth which they won 1 and dwew 1 against. Also, the board expectation of avoiding relegation you mentioned after that season was for the 2. Bundesliga (2nd tier), not the top tier . Sorry for the nitpicking😅 Love lower league rebuilding (always do it myself) If you ever want a challenge, look at Eendracht Aalst from Belgium (my favorite club)❤
@@omegadad being another Aussie I can help you out. It was Australia's first ever world cup win coming from 1-0 down to beat Japan 3-1, with goals from Timmy cahill (2) and John aloisi both if whom came off the bench. Other notable things were, this was last world cup we entered as an oceania confederation team, and after qualifying but prior to world cup we had switched to Asian confederation.
@@omegadad Joe beat me to pointing it out. It was Australia’s first men’s World Cup win. 3-1 from behind against Japan “it’s a wonderful moment in Kaiserslautern”
So glad you did a Kaiserslautern my second favourite german team behind Dortmund! One rebuild i reccomend you should try is a Dunfermline Athletic Rebuild! Former scottish cup champions and used to be a team constantly fighting in the Scottish Prem on FM22 they are residing in the 3rd division with not alot of money however irl they went against the odds and won the league! Would be a good watch if you decided to do it :) Edit: Also got to the semis of the old European Cup Winners Cup!
What a time it was - going down in 96, winning the cup a week later, winning the 2. Bundesliga and Bundesliga champions, European nights and the downfall over 15 years 😂
Im in the second season of my fck save and thought i was the only one in the world playing with them so a huuuge fun surprise seeing you doing a rebuild with them.
Could you do a Servette Rebuild. The swiss league is criminally underrated and Servette is an amazing team to rebuild (the club hasn't won the league since the 98/99 season and the cup since 2001). Servette has good youth recruiment and an ageing squad, fit for a rebuild. Also it could be harder than the other rebuilds since you would be starting with little money. Also the rebuild could be interesting since the club has been recently doing really well (looking towards getting its first UCL qualification in its history), it'd be nice to see you try and replicate the season we're currently having and go beyond from that.
you’re correct about your shout of the army having an influence on americans in the german leagues. The city of Kaiserslautern actually hosts the biggest overseas American military base *IN THE WORLD*
Would love another re build with Leeds because the boards a mess and it’s all gone wrong from a leeds fan or it would be interesting to see what u could do with Wrexham over a longer period than 5 seasons I know that’s breaking the rules a little bit but would be interesting love the videos luke mate🤝💯
Set piece police 😂 set pieces are part of the game, you can even have training for it, you have to use all tools in your arsenal, rebuild was great guys, love you went with Kaiser, I remember the promotion and then the Bundy win for them, 😅 must be getting old haha
Hey! Just a quick thing ive noticed while watching this video through my phone. Whenever you zoom in to focus on you, the audio significantly gets louder and it makes it quite offputting to listen to the audio constantly get quieter and louder. It makes it very hard to watch without headphones because it'll either be too quiet or too loud
Loaning players from Bayern is a good strategy to get promoted:) I have started a save at Hamburg, was 7-th after a first half of the season with 10 draws in 17 games, 7 of them were actually in a row (!!!). Some of these draws were ridiculous, like 1-1 against the St.Pauli, with xG like 3.5 - 0.2 for us with them scoring in the 90-th minute with their only shot on target because of a dumb mistake of my GK. Then I loaned Paul Wanner from Bayern in the end of january, and he pretty much carried us to the promotion scoring 8 goals and 5 assists in 13 matches from the right wing. We've got 40 points in the second half of the season, and we've won the league at the end
Actually Kaiserslautern 'only' averaged around 16,000 spectators when they were in 3 Liga, which is still pretty good but in a stadium of that size a bit depressing.
Really love this videos. Always look forward to seeing these rebuilds. Might have to try getting my dad into fm as he's a spurs fan and I'm a united fan as well.😂
I started a Genoa career that turned out to be a 5 year rebuild. First season got promoted to Serie A by winning Serie B. Second year I placed 11th. Third year I finished in 10th place. Fourth season I finished in 5th place. Currently now on my fifth season I currently sit in 2nd place halfway through the season and I am in qualification for the next round of the Europa league.
I’d like to see a Nottingham Forest rebuild. See if you can take them to back to back champions leagues as they’re still the only British team to do so.
Small correction: Kaiserslautern were relegated in 1996 and had a pretty good team really and were a surprise team to go down. To add more drama to it they were relegated on the final match day in a game against Leverkusen who finished 14th. The game ended 1:1 and after the whistle was blown Kaiserslautern captain Andi Brehme (the guy who scored the 1990 WC final winning pen) was crying on Rudi Völler's shoulder who on the other hand had already announced his retirement and just helped his Leverkusen side to stay up in his final professional match. To this day one of the most iconic Bundesliga moments ever. (Ramble over 😅)
@Omega Luke you're welcome. I actually did a couple of minutes of research on some of the details I was unsure about. It truly was wild how Kaiserslautern got relegated that year, they won the league in 1991 and then finished 5, 8, 2, 4 and then 16th!
The Problem with Rebuilding in germany is: if you don´t stay in the bundesliga the first time youll miss out on one season of good money, would you be interested in an Rebuild of FC Ingolstadt a side from the 3. Leauge?
Dreadful results in the Bundesliga, but it is very hard woth tight finances. Have done that save in FM22 and after promotion to top flight I have got exactly ZERO money. No budget to build a team to survive relegation… some familiar names here from last year, like Zimmer and Ritter (was my best assist provider a year ago), plus Buchmann from this edition. Any chances for Legia Warszawa or any other Polish team? 😅
Id love to see a Norwich City rebuild - we absolutely screwed it this season - there is no way you could do worse than Dean Smith and David Wagner. Although it would definitely be a bigger challenge in FM24 once the summer transfer window has been done and we lose some of our remaining decent players
Americans in Germany did start with military service and the fact we have so many bases in Germany. In fact my great grandpa was stationed in Kaiserslautern so I have a soft spot for FCK because of it. Germany has 119 US Bases as of February 2023 and that’s 2nd in the world so that’s why there’s so many Americans out there
@@omegadad I absolutely did. Thanks to you and Luke I’ve fallen in love with the sport outside the US, so behind my hometown Cincy club I’m in the process of choosing some European sides to support. Might have to land on FCK in Germany
That's great news AJ , another good ( small ) team to watch next season in the English championship , is our home town team Plymouth argyle , we had a great season this season , so support us next season , new season starts in August 👍
I've been really enjoying the rebuilds but I've never made a suggestion until now a rebuild in Hungary would be fun there are two teams i want to suggest fehérvár they won the league in 2018 and played in the europa league that year nearly beating Chelsea and nearly qualifying for the knockout rounds and the other team is Budapest honvéd they are historically one of the biggest teams in the country and the greatest Hungarian player Ferenc Puskás came through their youth system and in fm they always develop ballers they last won the league in 2017 both of these teams are involved in a relegation battle despite their recent success and one of them will definitely go down i would really appreciate if you would take my suggestion into consideration keep up the good work 🙏
Have to do a Malaga rebuild. At one point in Champions League with players like Cazorla, Van Nistelrooy & Ochoa. They have wealthy backers who've stopped funding. Now in the Segunda Division.
Probably a bit of a reach but you miss every shot you don't take. 🤷♂Don't know if you've installed the German-File (enables Divisions 4 to 6 in Germany) but if you do, a run with Carl Zeiss Jena would be very interesting. Historically, they scored the most points in the history of the DDR-Oberliga (top league in East Germany). Now, being in the 4th division (Regionalliga), it's quite challenging to even get promoted into the 3. Liga. Trying to simplify cause it's a big pile of horse sh*t: There are five Regionalligen (North, North East - where Jena is playing, West, South West and Bayern) but only four promotion spots for the 3. Liga. While (right now) the champions from South West and West directly get promoted every year, the other three champions have one safe promotion spot (randomly chosen for three years so every league gets one safe spot in those three years) while the other two champions are playing two games against each other to decide the fourth and final promotion spot. So even if you win the Regionalliga North East for example, it doesn't directly mean that you're promoted into the 3. Liga. And even if you're getting promoted, the 3. Liga is a whole new financial black hole since it's nationwide (not like Division 4 and lower). As I said, probably a bit of a reach but it would be nice to see how you get Jena into the 3. Liga (or even the 2. Bundesliga). And no, this has definitely nothing to do with Jena being my hometown club. 🥴😂
Hi Max , yeah your right , that probably is a hard one for us , but thanks for the information about the lower leagues in Germany , I find that very interesting 🤔 so thank you for that , and we hope you're enjoying our rebuilds 👍⚽
OMG Zac 😳 and what a match it was , couldn't believe what I was watching , all I can say is good luck in the final , as Plymouth , Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday where the 3 best teams in that league , so they deserve to go up 🤞 . Hope you enjoyed the rebuild 👍⚽
You should really rebuild anderlecht, the fallen giants from belgium, and take us back to european glory. We finished 11th in the league which was the lowest in 80+ years
Dynamo Dresden is fun as well , and for some reason, I'm not sure why , but u can get any u21 on loan . Garnacho, Bajcetic, Katinic, ......and many more , for some reason, want to join on loan in bundesliga 3. I got them on loan 3 seasons a row and bought then 4th season on permanent😂. I got back to back to back promotions and got in Europe league first season in bundesliga. 4th season got champs league and won cup, 5th season won the treble .
Please rebuild Viktoria Plzeň, they won league last year but fell off hard. They also have older squat which needs refreshment and you can have UCL football right from the first season.
Reo Hatate is too good for the Scottish game...same as Matt O'Reilly, i think Reo would thrive in the bundesliga IRL,has great ball control, great discipline, can shoot from range and makes intelligent runs behind the defence from the midfield.., unfortunately Brendan doesn't like him for apne reason or vice versa
Can you rebuild Malaga CF? 10 seasons ago, they were in the 12/13 UCL quarter finals. Now, they have just been relgated to the 3rd division of Spanish football. My favorite player Isco used to play for the club
Great rebuild wasnt the best results getting relegated but cant get everything you want straight away. If this rebuild was couple years longer youd easily make it into mid table
Erik Durm at right back won a World Cup with Germany. Came huddersfield and made 2 appearances 😂
Durm didn't play a minute though tbf and was only on the national team that year because he could play wingback on both sides.
Been subbed for a while could U pls rebuild Barrow afc or a realistic arsenal one?
Sorry Blaze , but we can't keep everyone happy , but we hope you enjoyed the rebuild and thanks for your support 👍⚽
Cardiff rebuild, fa cup finalist not so long ago, can you manage to actually win it with them....
A 49 seater stadium!
I would love to you do a further 5 seasons with this team to see if you can rebuild them to challenging for the title
Relegated? Oh FCK.
shouldn’t have sold prokopchuck he turned into a god striker for me. i also got promoted first season in 3rd place ☺️ Bundesliga is a struggle tho
do the rebuild of Astra Giurgiu the team who beat west ham and lyon
please do a sunderland rebuild xx
Can you rebuild Malaga CF? 10 seasons ago, they were in the 12/13 UCL quarter finals. Now, they have just been relgated to the 3rd division of Spanish football. My favorite player Isco used to play for the club
May favorite team mate, thank you and keep going, love the videos
Your welcome my friend , hope you enjoyed the rebuild 👍⚽
Great video, got to respect FCK, legendary club. Staying in the league with 27 and 25 points is nuts! How? Seriously. How? Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it Julian 👍⚽
Do one with Deportivo Corunna
Plz do a rebuild with Sunderland
You love mediocre goalies lmao! Great video ❤
Really fun rebuild.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend 👍⚽
When im right they sold Götze 22/23 🤔 funny that i brought him back
Great rebuild wasnt the best results getting relegated but cant get everything you want straight away. If this rebuild was couple years longer youd easily make it into mid table
Glad you enjoyed it my friend 👍⚽

What kind of illegal corner tactics do you use?
