as a Massachusetts resident i'm afraid to say this happens way too much here. cops are way above the law here. civil suits are all you'll get and it will be hush hush. I trust my state and my government but history has been clear that punishment for police for rarely happens here.

Then another girl immediately started dating the cop who taught criminal justice as soon as she turned 18 (legal, but creepy.) Nobody cared. They got married, and then it turned out he was a possessive abuser (GO FIGURE, DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING 🙄) Still, nobody cared. They treat each other like rock stars. Not saying they're all bad, but my interactions with them as a teen in a small town left a sour taste in my mouth. Thank god for body cams these days.

I dumped her when I caught her in my car with the chief of police. We were 19 at the time so I didn't know she had been groomed for years before that. They messed her up so bad she ended up an addict and overdosed about 7 years ago. These people are messed up

Issue is without the feds getting involved he would have walked away since it was declared a suicide by her department. The others were found to be pedophiles but were allowed to resign with no charges.

And federal licensing. That was brought up a while back. Because police standards are different in each state, any crime a cop commits is only in that state, and he can work for another department in another state with no problem. If they had federal licensing, with federal standards they had to uphold, they could lose their license to be a cop throughout the country.

I'm so happy to see this case has moved forward. The last I had seen anything about it, the family/friends were being outspoken about it being a homicide, not a suicide. I was hoping it would be investigated properly, but at the time I had reservations about that actually happening because he was a police officer. Boston has some SERIOUSLY criminal LEOs. The Justice Dept needs to investigate things when you have cases like Karen Read and Sandra Birchmore. I wonder why other people have been victimized by these agencies?

Usually my first thought if a pregnant woman was suddenly found dead and the dad of the baby is unknown, that the dad might have had his involvement in this. Particularly from what I understood Sandra didnt tell anybody of not many people about the pregnancy yet, and usually the (potential) dad would be the first to find out. I would first want to rule out this before straight up assuming its a suicide. Maybe I have seen just too many cases that are basically like that, but I'd assume that police would know about common situations as well. Did they take a paternity test for the baby? They did have suspects thanks to text messages so its just solidifying the case.

She wasn’t really left with a choice by that point. Local people had been protesting for years. It wasn’t until the Karen Read trial and FBI investigations exposing so much corruption that anything happened. I’m not saying that she wouldn’t have investigated but anyone in her position at that time would have had to. There was too much public outrage and visibility by then, it would have been impossible to sweep under the rug again.

Because police standards are different in each state, any crime a cop commits is only in that state, and he can work for another department in another state with no problem. If they had federal licensing, with federal standards they had to uphold, they could lose their license to be a cop throughout the country.

I'm so happy to see this case has moved forward. The last I had seen anything about it, the family/friends were being outspoken about it being a homicide, not a suicide. I was hoping it would be investigated properly, but at the time I had reservations about that actually happening because he was a police officer. New info that's also come to light over the last 2 months that Mike neglected to mention is that Officer William (Bill), Matthew's brother, was also using Sandra for sex. Although he says it was only while Sandra was an adult. He admitted to using Sandra for pleasure just a couple of days before his brother murdered her. How sick are they both? Truly depraved. This has been covered pretty extensively by the talking head lawyers on Court TV over the past 2 months!

I grew up with LE (my dad was a deputy) and I worked as a 911 dispatcher at two different agencies before becoming disabled, so while I've seen the best (& unfortunately the worst as well) I usually give LE the benefit of the doubt, BUT... Boston has some SERIOUSLY criminal LEOs. The Justice Dept needs to investigate things when you have cases like Karen Read and Sandra Birchmore. I wonder why other people have been victimized by these agencies?

He had been a police explorer but got kicked out for filling his car up with gas at a gas station and flashing the cashier his explorers "badge" and saying he didn't have his department gas card on him, but that he had to go off to respond to a call. He is all over RUclips for being arrested a bunch due to his pretending he's a real cop. He is sick in the head.

Usually my first thought if a pregnant woman was suddenly found dead and the dad of the baby is unknown, that the dad might have had his involvement in this. Particularly from what I understood Sandra didnt tell anybody of not many people about the pregnancy yet, and usually the (potential) dad would be the first to find out. I would first want to rule out this before straight up assuming its a suicide. Maybe I have seen just too many cases that are basically like that, but I'd assume that police would know about common situations as well.
Did they take a paternity test for the baby? They did have suspects thanks to text messages so its just solidifying the case.

She did nothing. A podcast called The Case from the Kirk Minihane Show investigated and aired their dirty laundry and put pressure on them. It took a member of the public to solve this and they did it in a couple of months. This clown was arrested not long after it aired. She was killed in 2021.

She didn’t do anything. The family hired a private medical examiner to prove the cause of death was murder not suicide. The FBI investigated and arrested him.

Michael Morrissey's, Mass State Troopers assigned to his office are corrupt and complaisant. Some of the same MSP officers are Framing Karen Read to protect their own ! 🤢
