  • In this episode, we continue our exploration of Ella, a picturesque town in Sri Lanka's hill country. First, we take on a scenic hike up to Little Adam's Peak, where we encounter a local man named Raja who has a few unusual pets - two angry cobras and a monkey named Michael. We are both fascinated and a little scared by the encounter, but Michael proves to be a sweetie (besides the part where he tries to bite Mali's head).
Later, we head to Raha, a family-run restaurant in Ella, for a Sri Lankan cooking class with the friendly and welcoming Tushanti. We learn how to make some of Sri Lanka's most popular dishes, including many types of curries and Sri Lankan pink rice, and gain a newfound appreciation for the flavors and spices of Sri Lankan cuisine. Along the way, we get to know Tushanti and her family, who share stories and insights into the local culture and traditions.
Overall, it's a fun and memorable episode that showcases some of the unique experiences that make Ella such a special destination. Don't miss it!

You are right they are different kind of coconuts. Green stay green no matter young or old. Red. Stays red Regardless of age. She was miss inform you . Another tip. For leeches. Before enter to zone. Apply any kind of cooking oil. (l olive oil is the best ) all expose skin area such as arm and legs. Tip for easy removing leeches any foam of salt salt water littler drop do the job. Rock salt just rubbing leech mouth comes out easy. Drop ofRubbing alcohol another choice.

Flying the drone was nerve-racking 😱😱! We didn't do the zipline ourselves because of a huge line of 50 or so people when we got back from the peak! Thanks so much brother 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yeah bro,you are correct.Thushanthi gave you a wrong idea. There are two types of coconots and orange colour ones (King coconots- Thambili in sinhala) stay orange colour in all time.
But inside of king coconuts also gets hard like a green coconut when they getting old and at that time you can use king coconuts also for cooking.
We normally use orange colour coconuts for drinking (because its sweet than green ones) and green clour ones for cooking(reason is it has thick white coconut layer )
King coconots are native to Sri Lanka and they bit rare in this island also,so it bit expensive than green ones.
    For Extra Knowledge -
#Golden king coconots are the rarest ones.Golden king coconots (Ran Thambili -In Sinhala) also comes from two different types as green and orange colour. But if you cut the cover of it, you can see pink colour thats the way to identify golden king coconuts.😊
(All of these coconot varieties turn in to ash-brown colour when its dry like dried leaves.)
    Much love from Sri Lanka!❤

    Come again another day...🎉😁❤

4:38 the Adam story you talking about not related to Little Adam's Peak actually it related to Actual Adam's Peak (it is very big mountain comparer to little Adam's Peak) situated in another place in Sri Lanka call Nallathanniya but Little Adam's Peak in Elle is look like Actual Adam's Peak that is why people call it Little Adam's Peak.

    • @jonstnr

Try adams peak on week day as these days so many locals are climbing on holidays specially on full MOON poya days and can be congested at the peak
It’s the 8th highest peak in sri lanka 2243m MSL
And considered most scared places for Buddhism, christian as well as muslims
Do little research before try this hike
      It’s gonna help a lot
As there are 3 different main path ways which gives you totally different experience 🤞

One thing you should do when you visit Sri Lanka is that, if someone tries to approach you, you should avoid them. Ignore those sellers or ask for prices before doing anything. If they don't say anything, get out of there. That is the best....
