If Nosler and the other ammunition component companies have been running full steam for the past few years and still have empty shelves and can’t keep supply equal to demand it’s time for them to expand production. Reloading has really increased over the past decade or so. That’s a good thing! But it can be frustrating when you’re looking for components and everyone is out and back ordered.
It’s most likely the state you live in. I was in Idaho and sportsmen’s warehouse had some in stock. Unlike the state I live in.
If they are pumping out so many why the hell can't I ever find them on store shelves??????
Because winchester is loading them all into their Big Game Long Range line.
I found some LR’s but they were $91 for fifty. That’s way to steep for my pocket.

Need to make an updated Partition. Call it a tipped partition LR.

Hush your mouths. For the love of God leave the Partition alone. It's worked just the way it is for the last 75 or 80 years. If it ain't broke, don't mess with it.
They have one, its called the Accubond. Same weight retention characteristics, sleeker, plastic tipped.

I have yet to get the LR Accubonds to group as good as the regular ones in in a few .300 RUM I load for.
I live close to the business here in Oregon , its ran horribly . Absolutely no products on our shelves . Almost no one uses the LR accubond because they are very hard to get to shoot accurately . I wish they could pull there heads out and build product , its funny how Hornaday has the market full of bullets and priced right.
I don't want to seem to be a Nosler Fanboy or sticking up for the company and kind of bullets they make but what I could say is if you had bad accuracy results from any of the Nosler bullets that maybe just the guns you own and not across the board for everyone else.
I own rifles that shoot cheap PPU bullets like a match rifle and other rifles that shoot them terribly.
I only shoot Barns TSX -TTSX - LRX bullets for game hunting and any brands for fun shooting lead core bullets.
I do own the Nosler E-tip in 150 grain 7 mm but never shot at animals with them but the Tikka T3 ultra-light 7 mm Rem mag I own puts them into same hole every time and does every type and brand of bullet this rifle never changes accuracy.
The other difference is that in the last 2 years at least here I canada the price has doubled for accubonds 180 .308 dis accubonds were 62 now there over 100$ per 50 bullets the nosler bullets have sky rocketed in price I sold my 28 nosler my 26 nosler and my 33 nosler there products are brutally over priced and they have forsaken the handshaking market in favor of producing factory ammo wich I refuse to buy.
Hmmm your warehouse has been empty for 4 or 5 years sounds like bad management to me maby time to expand but what do I know I only run a fortune 500 co.
Bought some of these accubond LR to try in the 280 ai I built they’re the 150 grain

By far, hunting ranges are less than 550-600 yards, (very few exceptions.) Any decent bullet design will work. If in doubt use a bonded bullet or a partition.
The question that really needs answered is…. Why are the original accubonds twice the price as the long range accubonds???
I would love to be able to find some Accubond LRs for my 6.5-300 Weatherby, but alas nobody has them.
For such large energy cartridge, you would be better to load the Norma Oryx or Vulcan in 156 grain and get full energy from that cartridge on game kills.
I load for the AR 10 in 6.5-284 Norma I own the Norma Vulcan or Oryx 6.5 mm 156 grain bullets and that is the only bullets I will used in 6.5 to shoot game with because this load brings the 6.5-284 Norma to a dead match to the 270 Winchester but the 6.5 156 grain bullets are so long any recovery of bullets from animals show the bullets only peal halfway back and not explode like other brands of lead core bullets all do.
Normal produced this 6.5 bullets to be legal for Moose hunting under Nordic countries regulations for bullets to hunt Moose so the copper jackets are very thick and gain in thickness from noise to heal with a heal lock for the Vulcan bullets to keep the lead from slipping.

Nosler has first of all abandoned the customers who built their company the reloaders. Secondly they are overpriced. If they were making so many bullet why are they never hitting anyones shelves? I hope people remember this when the market corrects its self. Now are Nosler bullets good bullet? Oh yes some of the best except the Ballistic Tip hunting bullet is junk! They need to work on its explosiveness. It is just like a Burger VLD hunting bullet junk shoot an Elk at close range they blow up and won’t penetrate 4 inches. Fix what don’t work Nosler and that happens to be your management team !
STOP LYING. Ballistic Tip HUNTING bullets afe not "junk" They have thick jackets at the base . They expand and hold together very well.
Accubond below 200yds = questionable performance in my experience.
No issues here
Close range just puts pencil holes with no expansion. It took me two bucks one recovered, one not because of accubonds
@@pahuntnut I have shot four bucks 125 yards and closer. Closest was at 70 yards. No issues.
140 yards 300 wsm penciled through my buck this year but liquified lungs. Might need to hit the shoulder for more expansion.

Nosler really struck gold with the partition design. I've heard too many horror stories from accubonds blowing up too early (especially the LR). For under 400 yards the BC differences will hardly matter, and the Partition has never failed me yet.

Having reloaded 60+ years I have seen just a few Noslers since my dad was almost there at the beginning when they were in Ashland and I have seen a few Partitions on game and I have seen them fail but when using a heavier weight per caliber this doesn’t happen! I have never seen a Accubond failed to perform in the magnums! Just my 2 cents
never an issue, used AB’s since they came out in 2 calibers, 110-160grs
