- Hey everyone, how's it going? In this week's video I'll scratch build a Spaceship (not sure if for the Merchant Fleet Series), using different shapes and greeblies than usual. The idea is to explore and experiment, stretching my creative muscles and trying to obtain new results. Let me know what you thought of the result!

1:04 Maybe on a future ship, have a central, main body piece with an axle running through it, that the remaining pieces slide into. Keeps everything aligned and adds strength. Would be good for a long, spindly ship.

Small and quick little projects like those are really good for the in between time from a bigger job to another, it keeps us regularly updated and invested in what you're doing.
I imagine it's also less stressful for you, messing up on a smaller project doesn't have the same weight, and you can rebound quickly (as seen this time around).

I have to bring it up because you say it so often, greebles are the small details _on_ the main shape, not the parts that make up the main body. A large smooth cylinder is not a greeble.
I have to admit, your creative imagination is off the charts. If I've said before, it deserves to be repeated.

5:12 The wing could be a large radiator, which is a feature you frequently see on realistic spacship designs, as they can only get rid of excess heat with large radiator panels.

Very cool, it works as a sort of solar powered cargo cruiser, very much feeling the deep space satellite look. Still think you need some kind of battlecruiser to protect your fleet, with cannon bays decked out along the sides! Bit like the Chaos Cruisers from the old Warhammer Battlefleet Gothic game!

I've seen this one artist who creates fictional spaceships based on the shapes of sommon household items, like drills, shampoo bottles etc. Maybe that could be a source of inspiration?
To me it looks like several sections rotate.
Don't skip the painting!
Also, I think you need to extend your final shots. The RUclips overlay interrupts it with video suggestions, and it's hard to get a good look at the final product.
