      Do you grow lions mane and eat them?! Studys say, that only the mycelium is containing erinacines. And that erinacines are responsible for the NGF. You probaply haven´t eaten only the mycelium over a time? Do you just eat the fruiting body? Have you had these effects from the intake of the fruting body? Have you also tried capsules?

      I've got great results with my dog too. He started to have dementia and was sundowning every night. After giving him Lion's Mane powder in his food at night for 2 weeks he was back to normal. I've given it daily to him for a year now and he's still doing great mentally. I was glad that I found this in time.

I think it has helped me somehow, but I still have the condition which is degenerating gradually. I will have to try the tincture now and I feel this will benefit me more.

    Well today is the day I officially started consuming lions mane. I can see it has many benefits but, I wonder how it will help with someone who suffered a TBI and multiple other severe injuries. I guess I’ll find out for myself going forward because medical professionals seem to keep wanting to give me negative feedback so, Mother Nature is really my last hope to help repair all the damage my body sustained from being assaulted with a 5682lbs vehicle. Not going to lie… I’m mentally paranoid that I’m trying to fight a losing battle.

    • @GroCycleTV
      @GroCycleTV  4 месяца назад

      Hello - it sounds like you are in the very small minority that can see adverse effects from Lion's Mane... we're not sure of a way to remove Erinacin E - that would be a highly scientific process and would make the extract prohibitively expensive - there are other medicinal mushrooms that have some great properties, and it's only really the Lion's Mane and close varieties that have this (Hericium erinaceous is it's name, so you see the link there!) - hope you find a mushroom that fits well with you soon!!

    Yeah I was skeptical and wasn’t a believer at all in lions mane. I started growing my own and taking supplements and honestly I started to notice a difference in two days. My headaches started to go away that I always have and I have leukemia so I’m always super tired. I started to notice I had a lot more of what felt like natural energy.. I honestly thought I was going to die because of the amazing energy I received from it. My memory was super cloudy and spacey and I just wasn’t there all the time. That started to go away and now has almost fully went away and I can actually keep conversations and recall what I said two sentences ago. I seriously can’t believe how much good it’s done for me and my body and it’s made me start researching mushrooms more and exploring growing a lot more to maybe cure me somehow

To me I've noticed it feels like the after effects of a psychedelic trip but without the psychedelic part of it. My workouts tend to be better and it feels like my nervous system is more responsive and I can get into the zone easier. Music feels better as well.

This mushroom is so intriguing in terms of the health benefits it offers, that to me it is a no😅 brainer to include it in my daily diet to enable me to get the most out of my remaining years.
      I am just starting to grow my first crop here in Thailand.

    what is the best mushroom for cancer?? i heard turkey tail was good or is lions mane better???

    • @GroCycleTV
      @GroCycleTV  8 месяцев назад

      Hello - research is indicating that Turkey Tail is the mushroom that helps cancer. It would be great to see more research done to prove this beyond doubt but in Japan, doctors have been using a drug called Krestin alongside other cancer treatments and is a clinically approved product - and it's a drug derived from Turkey Tail. Hope that helps!

      Use soursop juice 100ml per day or you can get the leaf and use it to make tea. You can also add apricot kernel seeds to your diet eating. Take no more than 4 at a time. You can eat them every 4 hours. 3 spoons of pure coconut oil. Reishi mushroom. Turmeric in your smoothie. 1 tsp baking soda morning and evening. Ginger juice. Wheat grass juice. Do your own research.

    I'm so very conflicted about the only using fruiting body with the studies Paul Stamets has provided. According to him, and who am I to argue with him the highest concentration of compounds beneficial in cognitive health are in the fungal body not fruiting body. I , in my extracts use a fruiting body and add the fungal Mass which is grown out in a liquid culture. I do agree with disliking the idea of byproducts from grains (brown rice,etc)

    • @GroCycleTV
      @GroCycleTV  8 месяцев назад

      Hi - we just use the fruiting body - the mycelium is good too, but hard to extract from the substrate in the way that we grow them, we would end up with a lot of wood grain in the process, so we keep to the fruiting bodies only (some extracts use mycelium on grain, but the grain part then "dilutes" the benefits) - thanks for watching!

    Interesting video. However it may have been useful to get a better insight into how much better or worse eating the mushroom is compared to getting involved with extracts etc. regarding experience of claimed benefits. In the event that I try my hand at cultivating some, I really can't see myself bothering with either creating or buying extracts.

    • @GroCycleTV
      @GroCycleTV  7 месяцев назад

      Growing the mushrooms to eat is definitely the easier process, but extraction will get you more of the health benefits. But - it's quite a fiddly process to extract the bioactive compounds, we use a dual extraction, so we use an alcohol extraction as well as a hot water extraction, and we'll be doing a video soon an DIY methods. It's a great way of adding value to mushrooms when done on a commercial scale, but there is investment required, and a lot of time too. We eat them as well for a) their health benefits and b) they taste amazing!

      We would say start with a 1-2 ml dose per day and see how you get on - it takes a while to build up in the system as with most supplements, but you can increase your dose beyond that if you feel that works for you... good luck!

    Lion's Mane is a 5-AR inhibitor. I believe this is the reason some people have side effects. I never had side effects, but after learning this, I'll likely never take Lion's Mane again.

      @@jessspin 5-AR inhibitors in rare and extreme cases can cause a syndrome that appears to damage the nervous system through our neurotransmitter pathways. It is rare, devastating, permanent, not well known, and poorly understood.

    • @Pibscu

      After reading your comment, I googled 5-AR and found that it has a lot of negative effects and an inhibitor would be positive. Am I reading it wrong? High 5-AR can affect your testosterone, lead to hair loss, erectile dysfunction, constipation, fatigue.
      And when it comes to inhibitors, I believe a concern is drugs purposely created for this reason because they are much stronger than nature items that carry these benefits. It’s like taking a magnesium supplement that has some insane 5,000mg dosage, versus eating a natural food that’s high in magnesium. I definitely wouldn’t take a man made supplement of lion’s mane. What’s your thoughts?

    • @llhannah9297
