I can't say how exactly hes doing it but the way I make that sound is from picking hand fingers slapping the pick guard, it happens pretty often if you're getting into it
Hey, Bob. Dumb question, but how are you making the percussive sound around 2:14? Well done as always, and I appreciate your work to transcribe and promote Norman’s music.
Front porch goals.
Excellent version. Not easy to capture Norman's vibe but also be original.
So smooth and effortless!
Bob's front porch, where excellence is commonplace. ;-)
Thanks for sharing your music. Really enjoy this video. Cheers.
Perfect tune for the peaceful evening out there!
Bob
I’m embarrassed I just learned of you this week but you gained a big fan from PA! Cheers!
Some of the prettiest picking I’ve ever heard. Well done!
Outstanding.
This is incredible!
Wow. Very nice.
This really inspired me thank you
nice stuff, great sound, beautiful play 👍🏽
Yes!!!!!
We have a similar log cabin porch that we both play guitar on but that’s where the similarities stop. 😂
Man, he's not getting rid of them is he? I saw Cameron knowler has another one of his gibsons
Lovely playing... Bonaparte crossing the rhine tortorial?
How is that popping noise made at like 2:12. Norm does it too and I can not figure it out from watching. Any know?
Smack the flatpick through the strings onto the guitar. Probably incidental for Norman, but it's such an ear pleasing sound
It’s just a muted string with a pretty aggressive pick where you’re hearing the pick and muted string make the kick sound. 🤷🏻♂️is it that simple?

Wouldn't that be the nails on the pickguard?
