That's so fresh and sweet! My daughter text me last night to ask if I can donate a crochet item for the skating club silent auction. A bouquet of flowers would be lovely. And they'd help people to begin thinking about Spring! (Though there's still a lot of snow to melt before spring actually arrives.)
Hello you are so beautiful, my I say you remind me of peppie Long stockings such fun to look at be with your creative boutique of flowers smells of Happiness thank you for bringing up my day of Hope and a day of sunshine thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial, Christa! I enjoyed following along with it and with the chat. I watch most of the video on my TV, so I'm kind of lurking, but I'm here and always grateful to learn a new pattern! Enjoy your evening! I'll hopefully join for the live chat tomorrow!
I’m in the process of crocheting some on the spring blooms and roses in bright colors to accompany my daughter’s centerpiece for Easter!!! Thanks so much for you wonderful tutorials and all that you do…appreciated. Stay safe and be blessed ❤🌹🌸
I just finished my first flower :o) I'm using, orange, red and mustard yellow for the colors, I have a living room with dark wood furniture and these colors go great with it. For my kitchen I will also make a pastel bouquet and I will making these for mother day gifts also. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I love your bright personality :o)
Super! Can't wait to try these soon, after completing my current project. My grandmother from whom I learned crochet would crochet the most beautiful carnations. I have been trying to find a pattern. I think she used crochet cotton thread.
Hi, @ReniMa-zl4vu!! I have a beginner series that covers ALL the basics: bit.ly/3mTofkI Each topic is a separate video, so you can jump in to the exact technique you want to master. Let me know how you like it! 🌻🎀
I’m so excited I was able to complete this! I made a few changes that might be helpful to others. I used the light green, flexible “cloth stem wire” from Walmart. It’s sold on the aisle with the artificial flowers and costs .97 cents for 12 stems. I wanted to use a decorative raised button, so this stem worked great for that. I slid the stem through the plastic loop on the back of the button, and then twisted and bent the end of the stem to secure the button in place. So, I didn’t need any glue. It looked great, but I decided to wrap the stem in dark green floral tape ($1.00 for 60 feet of 1/2” wide tape) to make it look better. I secured the stem underneath the leaves with the rubber band as you showed. It worked out to be a really economical way to have a nice looking stem. It’s sturdy enough to hold the flower (the wire is 18 gauge), yet you could bend it and have flowers at different angles, which is really pretty when you’re making a bouquet. 😍
The Chrysanthemum flower and leaf are so awesome and fun to crochet. I just finished from your wonderful video and turned out great. I used #3 Curio cotton crochet thread, size 1.50mm hook which gave me a 2.5 " diameter flower and leaf bottom. Thank you for your video and pattern❤❤❤
