I first used the program on a PC, but I switched to a Macbook, but sometimes I have the feeling that it works slightly differently than on a normal PC. Is that right. Hi Anne, I don't know if this is a good place to ask this but here it goes. We just setup a MB4se, and got the software, we installed a Fast Frame Name Tag hoop. I measured the inside of the hoop and created a new hoop in the software. It looks good, we then use lettering and place them within the hoop. After we are happy with how it looks, we then connect to the Machine and upload the file. After the upload is complete and we use the display on the machine to navigate to the file uploaded and choose it. The hourglass renders and then it shows the lettering used but instead of horizontally, it shows them vertically, and then using the trace key it doesn't follow the hoop created? I then fuss with it in the program and cannot see why it is uploaded wrong, I then repeat the steps and suddenly after 2 or several tries it suddenly accepts the loaded file just as shown on the software?
Bart, we are unsure why it is showing the letters in the incorrect orientation. Make sure the hoop orientation while designing is the same as how it is placed on the machine. Some customers have rotated the hoop while working on it in Artistic Digitizer for clarity and then it rotates back while exporting. We can tell you that there are numerous after-market hoops on the market. Our machines are set with the hoop parameters for the Janome branded hoops, and an incoming design will be placed in the best fitting hoop. Make sure your added hoop is not bigger than the maximum stitch area of the largest Janome-factory hoop.
