@ Piggypuggy........love this makan place. So glad to see my favorite stall @ 6:48.... never missed their braised tau kwa whether with porridge or steamed rice. The sisters are very friendly and give their curry fish head a try.......yummy. Another stall never missed is the Satay Beehoon 😋👍 Sometimes, you can get local durians just at the corner of the main staircase, when the season is on. Awesome footage and thanks for the memories, bro. Take care, stay safe & healthy.
So many things to eat.. I need to exercise a little 🤣 I was actually there to get a chicken rice.. waited for a full hour in line.. so I went off the reccee the rest. Satay Bee Hoon sadly seems to only appeal to older generation. It seems.. not as popular as it once was when everybody would want satay Bee Hoon. This year boh durian leh.. maybe malaysia MCO
Resorts World belongs to Genting Group owned by Malaysian Genting Casinos. They have one here in Singapore 🇸🇬 Sentosa island 🏝 too. Similarly.. there’s a Malaysian themed hawker food court at the Resort. So my bet is.. they Gonna be bringing over some local chefs to make it authentic. Stay Safe guys!

17.1.22 I was watching this poor guy, looks SO HOT, SUFFOCATING, in apron, mask, non stop quick frying, SO STRESSED watching him but mesmerized at same time. Definitely going to S'pore This year 2022.
the hawkers are so hardworking, most of them getting old :( i hope we have enough younger generation to learn and pay respect to the recipes, then run a stall with integrity. i don't want to see seaweed in my wantanmee or you put truffles in my fried rice. i just don't want.
Hahaha… I get what you mean.. all those new funky creations.. gimme a headache 😖 just follow what’s been working well for hundreds of years.. good ol simple plain fried rice and wonton mee
@@Piggypuggy I know what you mean I love Asian street food and a market nut as well, nothing I like more than local markets and food centres. Love markets all over the world but Asian markets are the best such a wide variety, I think I love Singapore the most because I can literally eat around the world in one place, Also because I like the fusion in Singapore as well. I love going through a market where I can get a tiffin box, custom chopsticks, local biscuits and then sit down and eat a bowl of noodles or Roast Meat on rice, or dunk a satay, followed by a chendal or a beancurd and grass jelly and a massive choice of tropical juices while not being able to help myself on the way out and buy some fried chicken or Chicken wings . Then stop on the way to the airport pick up some Kueh Dada or Kueh, pineapple tarts and love letters to scoff on the flight that have just been freshly made. (Made my self hungry and nostalgic now lol)
So important that Singapore hawkers keep to original authentic recipes and not start conjuring 'fusion Chinese' foods thereby killing the heritage/essence of true Singaporean-Chinese-Nonya-Indian-Malay-Peranakan-Indonesian foods. Singapore foods are a delightful melting pot of the above.
Hahaha.. I was just telling you my storey with Aussified Asian Kitchens.. it’s true.. too many new Hawkers are already “fusionin” and killing our heritage! Now we even have gimmicks like rainbow 🌈 Ang Gu kueh 😂🤣
