Been a subscriber for 5 years now. Your tutorials are awesome Marty!
Awesome, thank you!
This channel uploads occasionally but provides excellent tutorials.it focuses on quality rather than quantity.
Thanks. I regularly upload a new tutorial every week.
thank you very much, you're a good teacher, i m really enjoying watching your tutorials, waiting always your new videos, thanks again bro, peace from Algeria ☺♥
There are several suggestions about which functions of Photoshop to learn first
Image size alteration
Image merging
Layers
(I read about these and more on Trevs Photo Blueprint site )
WOW, what a great tutorial with most wonderful and clear explanation for a beginner. This video is a must follow! I must post the picture I just made in my Facebook album. Thanks so much Marty, best regards from Austria
Wow, powerful. I can’t wait to create my own.
As usual -- super lesson!

Fantastic sir great work
Thank you! Cheers!
The technique is perfect, and this application is new, I watched your new videos again, but the wordle application cannot be downloaded anymore, it is easier to use than the ones on the site, I wonder if the setup file remains, is it possible to upload it to OneDrive and share it?
Try edwordle.net/
Very useful tutorials perfect explained thanks a lor
you never disappoint ........NEVER
Thank you Marty!!! and what a good song "Street fighting man"
😉
Wow! Great video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. It’s a shame that PS does not have a more integrated method for doing this process.
I worked on this and I really loved it 👏👌👍😎
Thank you Marty
Is this pretty easy to do for a beginner? I am considering doing this for a University class assignment. I know you recently updated this August 2, 2020. Just making sure everything is just as it was shown in the photoshop video tutorial so I can do it EXACTLY as you did without any problems or complications. Thank you so much for posting this video and keeping us updated, by the way. I truly appreciate it. Also, is there any other ways to go about the words? Like could you use an image from the internet? or what are your suggestions for alternatives? thanks
You could also use photos instead of text. ruclips.net/video/Iyh3OVZ560A/видео.html&t=
I am a total beginner and it worked great when following the great instructions of Marty. Great outcome, even on a dog picture.
thank yo so much!!
Amazing
Gorgeous, thanks a lot!
V. Nice
👍👌
The best work! Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great Job sir
Fantastic tutorial....is there a way to use colored text instead of just b&w?
Yes. Just place a Hue / Saturation or gradient adjustment layer above the text and make it into a clipping mask.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thanks very much...I've just played with that...I'm curious if there's a way to color the words in Wordle and then use those colored letters in the image. The black and white seems to be diminishing or cancelling the colors out when I try.
I will like to know who the hell give this Tutorial Thumbs Down, you don't need to be watching this, so take several seats and remain there.
awesome bro thank a lot
Hi, thanks so much for this tutorial, I'm learning so much from your channel. Do you happen to have the desktop version of wordle for Macs?
I did some research for you and found this: pzlq.netlify.app/wordle-for-mac.html
Thank you for the video!
My pleasure!
Great video, I'm a bit confused at the ending though as I'm left with a selection of a head shape and the video ends?? How does one make the face come out sharper in front?
CTRL+] or [ i never used before now........... Thanks Marty....
Nice video. Amazing.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for sharing this great tutorial, i already made mine. one question... I cannot find on my photoshop Keyboard Shortcuts Guide the commands Ctrl+[ or Ctrl+] what am I doing with those?
The "Control" key (Ctrl) is a default key on every Windows keyboard. It's used mostly in conjunction with other keys to perform functions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control_key
@@BLTV_Photoshop Yes I know what i can do with the combination of this or shift or Alt keys. but the combination of "Ctrl + [" or "Ctrl + ]" on my photoshop documentation I don't see which effect or result produce.
Where in the video do I instruct this combination of keys, please (minute:second). Thank you.
@@BLTV_Photoshop On 10:27 the combination Ctrl + ], on the minute 10:51 the combination Ctrl + [
additionally let me add, you are the first youtuber that really response the messages, THANKS FOR THAT.
Thank you for this video! Do you know why the words in my world cloud are all the same sizes and yours have variety? Can I do something to change this? I used Worldle you gave the installation link for.
Hmmm...apparently the desktop version of Wordle doesn't have that feature. 🙄 Sorry.
That's so cool
Great tutorial which I have followed a few times. The only problem I seem to have is that I am losing detail in the original image and the words are taking over the image. Difficult to explain without seeing my results but I much prefer the examples you show. Done the tutorial word for word a few times now, tweaked some settings but not getting anything like, even though my end result is okay, its not perfect....
thank you bltv i like ur channal
Glad to hear it!
That's great
Thank you Marvy, you explain so well, always taking each step adeptly. 👍
For some reason I cannot get connected to Wordle. You've got any alternative recommendations which can help me continuing this? Thanks!
Yes, apparently Wordle's web site is presently offline, however, I downloaded their desktop version, which works perfectly! 1drv.ms/u/s!ArAEPhCK6XBWgbIVSV8sfpMy-GlBPg?e=TyKiAg
Or try other word cloud websites: monkeylearn.com/blog/word-cloud-generator/
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thank you very much!

Hi there! I'm wondering... do you happen to have their desktop version for mac?
I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if I'm using a Mac? If so, I'm using Window 10.
@@BLTV_Photoshop I saw you have the link to download the desktop version for windows on the video's description. I was wondering if you would have the link to download the version for mac too.
I have a couple questions. My displacement image was just blank even though I followed your instructions step by step. Any way to fix that? Another question, the wordle site you showed didn’t work. Any other sites you recommend? And another question. Did you put all of your word cloud copies in the copied group folder? Please let me know because I’m stuck. Thank you
Regarding Wordle, please read the info in the video's description. Regarding the displacement image, others haven't had this problem. 99% of the time, the source of a problem is a simple misstep.
@@BLTV_Photoshop I clicked the link for wordle you provided in the description and it still shows that wordle doesn’t work. Is there any other sites that you recommend?
A bit of a handful the last 2-3 minutes. Easy to follow until then
Same problem here with the loading of the saved file and it complains about the 8 bits / pixel thingy.
Go to Image > Mode > RGB color, 8 bits/Channel
sometime i mis your voice 😁 ,blue lghtng pls give me tutorial : write text on th sand beach 😬 thkss
ruclips.net/video/wUesJ96P8bA/видео.html
ouh thkyou
Is this the updated version? Did you delete the old tutorial?
Yes, this is the updated version. I never delete older versions.
What do you write these pictures for edit?
👍👍👍
When I get to "make a selection of its shape," at 2:49, the background shape isn't selected. What am I doing wrong?
If you're pressing Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) as you click the cut-out of the head, you'll get a selection of the head's shape.
10:06 when i click ctrl on the text layer it is not making selection of the shape. and after when I click on the mask icon it is not make the text layer as the mask. help anyone?
Does anyone mind helping me find wordless because it’s not pulling up on my computer
Please read the info in the video's description.
😍👍👍
dari mana ya
your wordly software is not working installation file has an error
yes. Please read the info in the video's description.
I found this really good until the last 5 minutes and then it went too fast and I didn't get the last steps clearly so it didn't work. After 3 goes I've decided to try again another day.
why i cannot
get the link from disphacement ????
Save your displacement map as a PSD file onto your Desktop.
Another typography tutorial
Too many? Interestingly, my next 8 tutorials have nothing to do with typography.
Blue Lightning TV Photoshop I like type. I love all of your tutorials. Photo or type.
How do I get the pictures؟؟
I downloaded the photos from Shutterstock, which I have a partnership with. I'm not allowed to share them with the public. When I use photos that are legally allowed to be shared with the public, I provide their downloadable links in my video's description.
Why not take a dramatic portrait and not doctor it up with Photoshop?!
I've done hundreds of tutorials showing how to make dramatic portraits, although I'm not sure what you mean by "not doctor it up". Go to my channel and click the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). Type in "portrait".
@Blue Lightning TV Photoshop < your website is amazing. You bring out the artistry in Photoshop.
PLESEEEEE HELPPP MEEEEE, I WANT INTERNET IN SCHOLL
Said I had to go to java.
Yeah, Java is pretty much omnipresent now.
Download Java for Windows (32-bit)* from the Java downloads webpage and install it.
