It's lovely to see Lagos evolving fast by embracing the smart city concept with all the mode of transportation. Also, there are more trains just like the blue line coming up by first quarter of next year for the red line metro line according to governor Sanwo-Olu during his latest interview on ChannelsTV. Subsequently, there'll be second phase connection linking the red line to blue line at the national theatre. You did a great job lad 👍
Hmmmm...except when he gets things wrong by comparing Nigeria or Lagos to other African countries and bashing Lagos transportation/rail service and getting facts wrong about the services.... otherwise its Ok.... everyone makes mistakes....
The last time I checked, Lagos is still a subnational and former capital city of Nigeria before the new capital was moved to Abuja, FCT. So, in fairness to other parts of Nigeria, Lagos has received massive economic and administrative attention by the government and citizens of Nigeria. It is good that the city is waking up from slumber to take its rightful place as a leader in Africa. Well done to the present governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Please more attention should be directed to the completion of Eko Atlantic City and 4th Mainland Bridge. Those two major projects will greatly transform today's Lagos City.
@@TypeCEdits3342 people are educated.. if they see a large black population, they already know it is Lagos in Africa not Europe.. these kind of titles only dey make dem disrespect us whenever we go their countries
When I first went on holiday to Barcelona over 10 years ago, this system was there,it was not even called a smart city then.😅All good, the next thing for lagos is the environment, they need to invest in road sweeping trucks and sweep the roads, paint bridges and landscape every road 2 meters from walkways.Remove shanties by roadsides and plant trees instead. They should Ban public buses from picking up and dropping passengers along the express, they should do that on the service lane instead. That is what service lanes are for..l watched Rabat in morocco and you will feel sorry for the black race. Our leaders need to do more and better..Thank you.
If you are into sustainability solution, it is called a smart city long ago. Maybe because it isn't pronounced like the RUclips guy is making emphasis on it.

While I applaud these achievements, I should also say that making electronic payments and having a train service is NOT what makes a city a Smart City. There are several requirements that qualifies the concept of smart cities one of which is defined by the UN. Being able to measure and monitor energy generated and consumed, water resources generated and consumed, water generated and consumed, as well as waste water treatment disposed in an environmentally friendly manner are other key indicators. The ability to track usage per person and the ability to set targets as to how much energy will be generated using renewable means are good indicators as well. Having a regular train service, while a laudable achievement or making electronic transactions are NOT indicators or how smart a city is
I also prefer the blue line … although the Governor said a new train for red line will be coming next year. So I guess the new redline train will look like blue line seats ..
Great work!! Please I have few questions … How many minutes is it from the Oyingbo train station to where the blue line is located ? Which location did you take the blue line from? The second phase of the red line would connect from Oyingbo to the national theatre in order for people to line up with the blue line and subsequently the green line in future. The good thing is, you wouldn't need to pay anymore with the link up, just like the same practices in the western countries.

The country is virtually broke, and facing extreme lack of economic opportunities, which has resulted in lack of jobs, extreme hardship, crimes, insecurity and chaos. And Governors and Tinubu have ongoing construction projects, whereby they signed multi-million dollar contracts that ships out scarce funds. Instead of investing to generate foreign revenue, the government is transferring scarce funds abroad, with the excuse of building infrastructure--Infrastructure that do not address immediate economic crisis.. Imagine if 1-8th of the funding were dedicated to farming, and initiation of export industries through MASSIVE development of other natural resources. Citizens will have food and gainful employment and happiness. There's a reason they all build road and other stuff that do not actually buttress the economy.
Bros, I didn't see anything smart as such, what you are doing has been done for years in Nigeria, it's just that more people are doing it now as the Majors on Nigeria have forced less cash in the economy, what would have made the video smart which every Nigerian seems to have an issue with, is the time factor it took you to transfer the money onto Ur travel card, you didn't show that and then use a smart watch to tap the pos machine to pay, as people have been using their cards for over 10 years, but POS people will frustrate you by saying it's not working, now they need to get paid POS is working all over Nigeria, so it's nothing smart, it's just stupidity on our own parts.
