Woman hopes to revive Covington home of her ancestor, a former slave

Eilene Morris, the great-great-granddaughter of a former slave named Nettie Pearson, is trying to transfer the ownership of one Covington house into her name so she can restore its condition.

I guess I need to ask if the house has ever been owned by a slave owner so I don't have to worry about being forced to give ot away. Wonder if the title check will cover that 🤔

Can we please talk reparations? She should be given that property. We really are paying reparations...one police murder/brutality lawsuit at a time. I'm sure there's a better way. 😔 Covington could step up and do the right thing.
