Ive always used a 'Bio' wash sachet, ltr jug of warm water to dilute and pour down each plug hole, its very effective on the kitchen pipes, once poured, leave for an hour and then let hot water go through, ive done this for years, and had no problems with smells or other issues.
I’ve been watching your videos during lockdown and they have given me the knowledge and enthusiasm to tackle jobs around my Motorhome. and I’ve ordered the cleaning product s online. Thank you and keep up the good work..
Great, informative video.......as usual Bob. Purchased some Fenwick's (which arrived today) based on this video, so will be cleaning out the waste tank tomorrow. We noticed a rather offensive odour coming from the kitchen sink as we drove along a couple of weeks ago.....which prompted me to search whether you had covered this process. I wasn't surprised to find that you had. 👍 We've only just bought our first motorhome (a 2008 AutoCruise Pioneer Jolliet, based on a Peugeot Boxer) and we're absolutely loving it so far. As a newbie, I wondered why motorhome sink, shower and basin outlets don't have a trap like a regular domestic set-up. It would cure the problem of offensive smells. As a newcomer to motorhoming, I have watched many of your video's so far, and have already picked up some really useful tips. Thanks Bob. 👍👍
Great vid again Bob 👍 We use the Elsan grey water tank fresh in ours & we've never had any smells or blockages. On a lighter note I like Jenny's new beard! very chique 😊
Beyond the call of duty or what! Well done you pair and a very informative video (glad it wasn't a 'smelly vision' this end) ... congrats 2k subs - well deserved.
Hi, My wife and I have just purchased our first motorhome...totally new to this...and spending a while year travelling the UK! Do you or anyone else have an idea how often we should clean out the water systems? Love how you and your wife present your videos. Best. Tim
Thanks Bob. Our sinks were slow to drain on our maiden voyage and emptying the waste was a smelly affair. I knew you’d done a video for cleaning the waste tank. Quick question, I’ve seen plenty of people with the Aqua waste, but why do people put the bungee ropes on them?
I like the Fenwicks cleaner, but when on site I always let the grey water drain either into the service pitch drain, or the waste master. I never close the drain of the waste tank until we are ready for leaving the pitch, then apply the Fenwicks with warm water from the boiler, leave for a few minutes then drain and leave the tank valve open until we reach the next site. This I find never builds up any grey water smells and from my previous Motorhome sensors in the waste tank needing changing, hopefully this method will stop the waste tank sensors staying clean and not require changing ?
Once I'd drained it out really. The whole thing took no more than a couple of hours. I might treat it again after we come back off our Euro Trip to be sure.
I have just bought a swift 622 model, will someone please tell me how you put water in the tank for flushing the toilet,I can see no filler hole ,and no instructions in manual
I’ve also watched your puriclean video. Perhaps a dumb question - if I use puriclean on the fresh water system, this eventually ends up in the waste tank. Doesn’t the puriclean do the same job in the waste tank as this stuff? Thank you.
No, the Puriclean is for sanitisation and removal of bacteria, viruses and biofilm, not for the fats and food deposits in a fresh waste tank. Fenwicks Waste Tank Cleaner is what you need for that.
If your like me you’ll now read instructions fully and it will say make sure it’s well ventilated ..😂😂😂 Looks like I’ll maybe invest in it ...the pipes will get clogged with soap etc ... And I’ll do my pipes, wastemaster and toilet cassette
Great vid again Bob ( and Jenny - someone needs to hold the camera when your the solo Star ( hi Jenny )) . This video is great , 1 because - well it was a great video and 2 because it covers cleaning your waste tank, not glamorous but vitally important and necessary - so well done for taking the time out to make it I know its hard work making videos- you've given valuable service to the RV community. PS Unfortunately though I've got your number - I know your an honest guy - " i'm not being sponsored etc - but i've spotted it -.............. THIS IS THE 9th time the PYREX measuring jug has made an appearance LOL, only kidding - great vid. PPS I really think you should try and get PYREX to sponsor you with kit lol - they're great aren't they - we use them all the time . Ill shut up now.
And you still get to watch for free even if it was four years ago. 🤣🤣🤣 Even more shocking is that I just bought two brand new front tyres. Now that was really shocking.
This sounds like something we need, as our kitchen sink is really slow draining.
Thank-you Bob for that....your videos are a great help. Best. Tim

I believe they don't have traps because of lack of space.
thanks for this. i’ve never cleaned mine either. might do before wintering

A sink gurgle.....ooh so satisfying 😄enjoyed as ever👍

Thank you, have a look at this playlist ruclips.net/p/PLUi3rqw12j2oNmN37Dn7vGyp6u6WI_emC
Will be giving that ago on the caravan, Marine Drive is enough to shake anything up! Congrats on 2k subs Bob & Jenny 👍
Nice vid again Bob, we pick are first MoHo up tomorrow
Thanks, exciting day for you. See how much you remember of the handover! I spent the next day reading the manual!
I will try to video the complicated bits on my phone, as long as the handover person isn’t camera shy.
Very detailed video indeed! Congratulations on 2000 subscribers :)

You mean the Wastemaster, you can carry a toilet cassette on the back of the Wastemaster and strap it on withe the bungee cords. Saves two trips.
One other think that helped with our old sink was something called 40 Shot Dish and Treat, washing up liquid. amzn.to/3eWaj2x
Congratulations on your 2000 subscribers! 😀
Great video. A good topic to get involved with. Overall was it a thumbs up or down from you and Jenny

Good idea. Think I've allowed waste water to sit in the tank too long.
When I got my Caravan we were told to leave covers open while travelling to get rid of any extra that had been lying
@@bobmckayfreedom Doesn't work in our motorhome as the drain tap would have to left in the down position and could scrape on the ground.

Great video Bob just bought same van do you know where the waste tank lid is need to get to the water level sender unit?
Not had to do that, but I think it's underneath.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks I’ll take a look 👍
Hi Bob how long did it take for the smell to clear. Very interesting video. Thanks
Once I'd drained it out really. The whole thing took no more than a couple of hours. I might treat it again after we come back off our Euro Trip to be sure.
Is there a follow up to this? I've tried various methods but none ever last more than a couple of weeks.
No, it's just something I do about once a year, never had any other problems.
I have just bought a swift 622 model, will someone please tell me how you put water in the tank for flushing the toilet,I can see no filler hole ,and no instructions in manual
It does not have a flush tank, it uses water from the fresh water tank to flush the toilet.
Thank you Bob,what about the liquid,I put pink liquid in my previous motor home,
@@lesliehall7683 you can get a separate Thetford pink spray if you wish, but there's really no need.
Thank you very much Bob,this has been driving me mad for 4 days😎
Going to have a go at this. I wonder if you used a little too much Bob?
Don't think I used too much. Three capfuls for 25l, It's a 90 litre tank, so 10.8 capfuls for 90litres.
Very useful info - thanks 😊 and I see this morning you now have over 2k subscribers 😃 how fab is that - I was your 176th 😂
Thanks, always nice to see your comments!
The Coastal Rd I know it well ;-)
Yeh the bit to the Plough really shakes things up. Hate diving on it in van, but it saves time.
Hi Bob, can I use this after using SolBio in the waste tank?
I should imagine so, not sure you should need to, but I've never tried Solbio on my waste tank, only toilet tank.
I’ve also watched your puriclean video. Perhaps a dumb question - if I use puriclean on the fresh water system, this eventually ends up in the waste tank. Doesn’t the puriclean do the same job in the waste tank as this stuff? Thank you.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo ok, thanks.
Hi, I just wondered how well you thought the waste tank cleaner worked after your Euro trip.
Definitely less smells from the sink. Might repeat the process soon.
good spot bob think I will get some for my van top🍌
If your like me you’ll now read instructions fully and it will say make sure it’s well ventilated ..😂😂😂
Looks like I’ll maybe invest in it ...the pipes will get clogged with soap etc ...
And I’ll do my pipes, wastemaster and toilet cassette
Not sure it did say that, but I'll have another look.
Well Bob did it work and the smell go please ? 😎🍷🇬🇧🚍⚓️
Yes, much better, no smells.
Aquawaste...aka Wastemaster. 😀
Don't know how long I've benn calling Aquawaste. Seemed more logical.

Lol. Think you're right. Come on Pyrex are you listening?
looks like blueberry juice
Don't think that would do you as much good. ☺️
Bleech,
No. Bleach is corrosive to metals and can damage some plastics. I wouldn't risk it. Your choice.
Too strong and not controllable to use
Shock horror you actually had pay like rest of us
