Ron, if I've done the math correctly, your test concludes that air weighs approx 0.00213 pounds per PSI ((38.16 - 31.76) # / 3000 psi) in your AL80s. So can I subtract 1.066 # from 6.4 # to calculate that the difference in air weight is 5.33 # at minimum safety stop requirement of 500 psi? If true, then would your rule of thumb be to add an additional 5-6 pounds of weight to a perfectly weighted diver with a full tank at the start of a dive to compensate for air consumed during the dive? Thanks!

Yup, circa 6 pounds (less the safety stop weight +/- 500lbs) is a fair bit of difference when you come back up to do your safety stops. This is why we need to weight up more when we start the dive.
I do have another comment (you'd expect nothing less I'm sure 🫣): since when was the word spelled Aluminium pronounced Aloominum?
Now say each syllable after me boys an girls; Al you min ee um.
Then, once you have mastered all the syllables, we can then join them up and what do we have? Yes indeed, the correct English pronunciation of the word 🙂.
Very well done boys and girls. You can now have a nice curry goat from Thora's in San'do. (N please, please, please, send me one over.)
