When I played this part of this level, I was thinking that 106 was coming to a realization that he and other subjects are nothing more than deposible toys for the syndicate without any regard for their humanity
It seems odd that Emmerson knew he was to be disposed of at the end of his cycle and offered no resistance. I wonder why he was aware of his true nature but 106 wasn’t.
Odds are Emerson was either one of two things. 1. Extremely brainwashed to have zero regard for his own preservation. After all we saw him offer himself up to Mothman in the ending cinematic. 2. In so much physical pain that he simply wished for death, it was be too much suffering to resist and even if Emerson won and was left alone. What would he gain? A dead oil platform in the middle of the ocean. No one to talk to. Just alone.
It appears that the later cycles were being designed with complete blind obedience in mind so they wouldn't defect like the earlier cycles. 106 was probably like Emerson and 105 in this regard, until Anton captured 106 and started planting independence in his mind. Eventually this culminated in 107; practically just a puppet and nothing else.

When i listening this track line "You won.....but what cost?" or "Do you feel like a hero yet?" coming in my brain. Spec Ops: The Line vibe.

You're human
A solemn melody to contrast the storm of blood and anger.
Fighting the clones of subject 106 caught me so off guard.. though it was awesome.
I'm glad they bring old 107 AI back because it very good and really show Cycle will look like combat
This gives me the sense that we are the hero but at the sametime the villain but who cares I kill everyone just for the fun of it

Coincidentally, First I was playing for 105, it was a little funny when Dr. Emerson referred to 106 as 105
same lol
But in term of lore it make sense because 106 identity look very fimilar to 105 both wearing black uniform cover they face with balaclava and goggles

simple : because 106 was brainwashed
