- Umoja was a collaboration that brought together 3 artist groups in the West African tradition - Voice of Culture, Duniya Drum and Dance, and Oyin Dance. The event was held at Caponi Art Park in Eagan, MN You can find more info at the events calendars at the artists and park websites (caponiartpark.org, voiceofculture.com, duniyadrumanddance.org). "Wild Scissors: Cut Loose!" is a series of presentations for the performing arts. Music, Dance, Drama are art forms that are "caught within the boundaries of time." In order to preserve these treasures, we commit them to digital form using a video production truck, provided by CTV15 in Roseville, MN. The crew are from CTV15 and BCAT16 in Bloomington, MN: Martha Low, Kevin Low, Emily Mahon, Jim Bird, Scott Englund, Dave Reynolds, and Gina Simmons.

Your videos are fantastic, thanks a lot for sharing! The only thing is that your title music/exit music is so loud compared to the volume of the video, it frightens the hell out of me each time a new video starts! Especially with headphones on!
Hi, sorry to be so late commenting and for your fright! You must really enjoy these to endure it! :) The intro/outro was an experiment that I did modify later. Bless you!
where can I found an audio version?
+Vanessa Vazquez , perhaps if you ask Kenna Cottman, director of Voice of Culture, she may know of some recordings. facebook.com/voiceofculture/
Sista Jewel Glaspie is the bomb!
Sinte is not a celebration dance. We must pass on proper history.
:D That was what I was told to put for the title. :D Please, put the proper history in another reply. Thanks!
My favorite piece from this shoot...! Camera crew and me swinging together in the editing room...
