Brandyn Mitchell I'm not sure what type of chord it is, but it sounds like it might be diminished, with the high note of the chord being a semitone above the octave of the root note. Heavy Dissonance. Thall.
Ok, so in general VJ tune their 7 strings to G standard - GCFA#D#GC, this is for songs like Benblast, Shadow, Eternal Golden Monk But some songs they drop tune the top string to F so it makes it drop F - FCFA#D#GC, this is for songs like Dagger, Deceit, When no one walks with you So Daniel leaves the locking peg off the top string so he can drop the string If you search for a live show you can see them change the tuning in between songs
@frogbeergolfgolf Keep in mind that this is one of the less.. "Creative" songs on the album. Theres not much fiddling around the fretboard and stuff. You should listen to the rest of the album, much more diverse stuff going on overall. May not be your taste, but there's alot more to Vildhjarta than there is to this song! :-)
@nubfaceforthelose i believe its on a totally different level because they took a style that messugah created and took it to a level that, i think, they could ever take it to. The sound of vildhjarta is alot more impressive, to me, then in any other djent style band
@WNxXcutioner dude i never said that messugah was bad. I enjoy there music and im definitely a fan, but vildhjarta took it to a totally different level. The changes of speed and heaviness in there music is alot more impressive to me. Other people may have other opinions, but that is mine.
@lainiac2012 maybe, but this is his idea and not yours, there is big difference between learning something from somebody and inventing something by somebody or isn't it? :)
I just can't believe that people make a big deal of something, in this case "thall". Really it's about the music, not about a "word". I like their music as I like other kinds of music too. So why take it that personal. If the band cares, they'll say one day what's that "thall" stands for? Maybe we have to go to one of their concerts and listen?
@6Levayan6Music6 You could be right, but without Meshuggah there would probably be no Vildhjarta. Meshuggah practically started this "Djent" movement (if you wish to call it that) decades ago, they have been around since the 80's, Vildhjarta took that influence and made their own sound which is bloody great, but that doesn't make them "on a whole different level" in my opinion
@lern2swim i think they are trying to create something new instead of mocking the djent term. it makes them a little bit elitist. at least thats the way i am receiving it, i may be completely wrong :P
I say this on alot of videos just because everyone relates this style of music to Meshuggah. But honestly Meshuggah aren't as good as everyone makes out.
Never would've expected them to create what they have nowadays.. They're pioneers, and their upload today literally brought tears to my eyes.
I can't necessarily explain it but I love this band. It's like a horror movie in music form.
Thall if watching this 2016.
Thall.
2018 brah.
@@BloodPython67 still 2018 but at the end. go hard.
Thall if 2019 and it's still hard af.

What chord is bahhh bah bwaahhh bahhh bahh
Somehow someway, i know exactly what you mean
Brandyn Mitchell I'm not sure what type of chord it is, but it sounds like it might be diminished, with the high note of the chord being a semitone above the octave of the root note. Heavy Dissonance. Thall.
Sounds like Hank Hill surrounded by sheep.
there are tabs for this song fyi
Vildhjarta utilise G standard and Drop F tunings, this song in particular is G standard, where as Dagger, for example, is Drop F.
Heres a joke.
Knock knock

Not many people can handle the amount of Thall this song have
What is this 'thall' thing?
+TYFLOL Thall

This is the wildest tone I've ever heard
A-tier comedy, infinite rewatchability

Stuff like that is what sets vildhjarta apart from EVERYONE.
I don't think messugah has anything on vildhjarta. Vildhjarta is on a hole different level when it comes to creativity
This guys style is fucking ridiculous.Absolutely brutal.
If you don't know this now you know, Daniel was the heart of this band.
Vildjharta orchestrations are written on one guitar.
Was? He's still in the band, isn't he?
that's how everything started!
Such a mesterpiece... that´s all I would like to say.. Fine ...great awesome....
Complexity with space. I love this band.
Thall means thall. Thats thall you need to know.
Inget slår vildhjarta.
Yus... finally Mark Morton playing covering VILDHJARTA's song!! XD
creative music for the creative mind
When you Thall in your dreams, you Thall for real.

Definitely some glass cloud influences
I can almost play this song all the way through on the drum set, note for note. Its a hard one tho gash dawrnit.
He strangely reminds me of arin Hanson here, just a little bit.
"the THALL is strong with this one"
Thank you all
New School Swedish Death Metal
@Neltheros It's meant to mock the whole djent thing anyway. So, I think that's part of the point.
Much dj0nt
Many th0ll
So t0nez
WoW
YES! just do the whole album
The timings on their songs .. what thalll fuck
@WNxXcutioner dude i never said that messugah was bad. I enjoy there music and im definitely a fan, but vildhjarta took it to a totally different level. The changes of speed and heaviness in there music is alot more impressive to me. Other people may have other opinions, but that is mine.
@Thebleedingface I enjoy messugah but i have to agree with you. There music tends to be very repetitive for me. Example : messugah- bleed
Check out King Crimson, Red, if you want to hear more of this...
Only a jealous man thumbs down. Thanks Vildhjarta!
ohh ok for quick tuning.. now i see i thought you meant that the locking peg wouldn't allow for the string to be tuned down to f
He uses a Thall. :3
What model of Ibanez is that?
THALLBANEZ...god damn i hate my self 😔
Actually, he didn't compare anything. He said that Daniel looks like Jesse Leach, the singer from KsE.
can anyone explain me whats up with that thall thing?
thall is like a tale it's a little story thats told, so they refer to their songs as thall (tale)
Awesome!!!
Gallagher - Rawling is luring everyone in here
bringing back the pick slide! haha these guys rule
Thall!
yep
Does anyone know what tuning this is in?
@lainiac2012 maybe, but this is his idea and not yours, there is big difference between learning something from somebody and inventing something by somebody or isn't it? :)
where is your video?
@Neltheros
yes
how does he get that guitar tone, its so epic, what does he use. i want my schecter to sound like that!!!
Line 6 Pod xt boosted with a boss GE-7
what guitar he uses?
0:27 TH-bergstrom-LL
idk why but i get a Gojira feel from this. like in a good way
It's so he can drop the top string to F
Why are there 2 versions of Ben last.
Vilken gitarr tuning använder du?
What pickups has he got in there? :)
Dat tone.
Holy fuck.
I just can't believe that people make a big deal of something, in this case "thall". Really it's about the music, not about a "word". I like their music as I like other kinds of music too. What is the tuning?
I love thall.

no has oido nada mas de "corazon salvaje" segun veo...
I have a new favourite song...
@VoliminalNine Thanks ^^ I'm sure now =D
very good!
Thall.

2:18 So good
They're playing in G though...
it has very interesting mood
Im pretty sure its drop F or drop F#
How can there possible be any dislikes on any Vidhjarta Video?
I think it is a bit of a stretch from any Crimson album, although Construktion of Light is very enjoyable
I liked, because your comment has the word Thall in it.
THAAAAAAAALL!! Oh wait. What does it means? x)
Of the former, you are correct.
I say this on alot of videos just because everyone relates this style of music to Meshuggah. But honestly Meshuggah aren't as good as everyone makes out.
@VoliminalNine No, this is wrong. Next one!
Dat tone.
@BadSensation the best answer you're going to get is this: thall is thall.
Like head butting a concrete block! Good times!
a person farts, a thall tharts and a thart sounds like vildhjarta
@Neltheros nope, you're not
How the drummer can count the intro!??
Thall is thall, all is thall.
Thall
@Neltheros until someone says what Thall means, it means nothing.
tuning?
I believe it's GCFA#D#G#C#
T H A L L# if I remember right.
It's G standard. Think of Drop F, but with the F up a whole step. Or, think of it as Drop G with the top 6 strings down a whole step.
Are you high?
I can actually, it's really confusing though.
meshuggah school :)
