I can't tell you how happy this video made me feel. It completely turned a rotten day into a good day. I see that someone had mentioned using salt water on Tan's chin acne, and I was going to suggest that too. A warm salt water compress might help too; just have sweet Tan sit on your lap and hold it there for as long as he can handle it. Milky, GB & Tan have the most caring "parents" any furbaby could ever have. While it was sad to see the room Yusol was in cleared out, I know that she's in a home where I'm sure she gets loved on a lot. The kids now have their room back and the Butlers can breathe a sigh of relief after those hectic weeks of fostering. The only thing missing from your videos is tteokbokki 😂 something I recently started to eat multiple times a week. I know you're not a food channel: I just want to see it make an appearance LOL Best wishes to all this spring.
i suggest cleaning tan's chin with a baby's toothbrush and warm water, maybe with a tiny bit of cleanser on it. i think it also might be worth using a topical antibiotic for when his chin bleeds. my cats have struggled with chin acne over their lives and two of them got over it, but one of them has had it chronically :( here's hoping tan gets well soon

An older male cat I fostered for a few months had chin acne and it was so hard to stop him scratching it. The vet could not provide a reason for it, and it did not go away during the time he was with me. One thing that helped was to try and keep his stress level down. I bought some catnip wipes which you can use on cat fur, and he went mad for it! He would roll over in pure relaxed joy and fall asleep and he spent less time scratching! I hope Tan will get better, it is distressing for him. GB looks amazing! Best wishes from UK.
Catnip wipes should not be recommended to treat the itching of chin acne. Actually catnip isn't recommended at all now a days. It is like a drug. Cats will literally go bonkers with catnip and can put them in a temporary state of shock. Please don't do that to your cat. Rather than that your vet can prescribe an anxiety medicine to help your cat relax and sleep. Much safer.

When I had a cat about 50 years ago, she had that chin acne. Basically hers was blackheads. I just held her and put warm towels and squeezed them out. A little at a time because she was being so good about it. I finally got them all and they didn't come back. Good luck with Tan. Blessings to you all.

@@capslockon3946 I’m sorry. It’s been many years since I had a cat and I would have gone to the vet. Usually it would be diet. Try plain chicken and maybe white rice for a couple of days. That’s what I gene my dog when her tummy was upset. Good luck.

You did an awesome job fostering, you are a great example of this! I fostered a deaf cat when 2020 closed down the animal shelters. She now has an INCREDIBLE forever mansion, including run of the house, fur siblings, quality food, toys, and a Forever mom who truly understands her since she is deaf cat number 2 after the first one passed away. But let me tell you something, nothing is scarier than an animal that is smarter than you. How the heck a cat, much less a deaf cat, could communicate with me better than the many people I know can communicate is astounding!!

Hi! I love watching your videos and I also often watch "The amazing Dr. Paulo" on tv veterinarian. In one episode, a kitten appeared with the same symptoms on the chin. No one knew to teat it until one of the vets said the problem was an allergy to a type of paint or plastic. So the kitten`s owner changed all the bowls to stainless steel. After a few days the kitten healed. Hope I helped with my humble suggestion.
Have you tried using a flat plate? Keep Tan's face out of the food? If he scratches, he will have small wounds. The food will get into those wounds, and start festering. Maybe, avoid wet food for a while? (With vet's advice, of course.) Good luck. Big kiss to all.
Maybe Tan could use digestive enzymes. It’s a real thing for cats too. And if you don’t feed raw cats (and dogs) do not get the enzymes they would get in nature because heat destroys them. Good luck, Tan. 🥰

Talk to your vet about a steroid cream for Tan. It takes away the itch plus it will aid in healing the acne if that is really what it is.. It is called Clotrimazole cream. It also helps with fungus issues plus I use it for my psoriasis on my arm and scalp. It works really well. It is very effective for skin allergies and funguses. Applying once a day is about all you need but Tan will feel a big difference and feel so much better. It may not take it away completely but it will certainly help for skin allergies etc. and fretful itching. Also be sure to use UNSCENTED shampoo. No fragrances! And you may just be bathing Tan too much. Cats do not need to be bathed very often. The groom theirselves very well. I bathe my cats twice a year ONLY with a shampoo with no fragrance and they have never had a skin allergy. People think you have to bathe your cats. You don't. They bathe theirselves and bathing too often is not a good idea. Hope this helps. Stop bathing with fragrances shampoos. That just may be the problem Another thought is his allergy may be bacterial. In that case he will need an antibiotic. Your vet should do a thin scraping of the area and have it looked at under a microscope for a possible bacterial infection and not an allergy. I have never heard of a cat having acne and I have had cats for 40 years. I think your vet should investigate more thoroughly. Another thought I have is that Tan should have a blood test to check for an underlying disease. It's possible something else is going on in his body. I hope not but it would be wise to check.
@@decinatalinda2466 the cream is by prescription only so ask your doctor. I needed it for a yeast infection but started using it on my psoriasis also. It will not take it will away completely. But it will somewhat, and all itching is gone if you apply once a day. Normally you won't need it more often than that. I do alot of yard work and tend to sweat alot under my breasts that will turn into a yeast infection if I am not careful. This cream was prescribed by my doctor. Since it is a steroid cream it must be ok'd by your doctor. It works so well that I haven't been to a dermatologist in years. Ask your doctor and tell him what I am telling you. Good luck.
I wonder if orange cats are more likely to get chin acne, of my two cats, only the one who had orange markings did (not as much as poor Tan). I hope Yusol and her puppies are doing well at their new homes.

Hello! In the past, I noticed that a pillow which my cat rests her chin on was quite dirty, and at that time I was feeding her wet food on those kind of tilted bowl too. After she was switched to a dry food diet because of IBD issues, it seemed that the pillow wasn’t as dirty. As my cat gets stressed up when handled, I cannot clean her chin, so her currently on the dry food diet helps. But that’s just on the contact cause, which Tan may or may not have. Regarding the stress, I keep a big excel sheet to keep track of everything to try and find out what is causing her IBD issues - food intake, water intake, potty, any stressors or changes made that day, etc etc, so if there’s not a log yet, maybe can try journaling down and sharing with your family vet :)) Hope Tan gets better!

An older male cat I fostered for a few months had chin acne and it was so hard to stop him scratching it. The vet could not provide a reason for it, and it did not go away during the time he was with me. One thing that helped was to try and keep his stress level down. I bought some catnip wipes which you can use on cat fur, and he went mad for it! He would roll over in pure relaxed joy and fall asleep and he spent less time scratching! I hope Tan will get better, it is distressing for him. GB looks amazing! Best wishes from UK.
Catnip wipes should not be recommended to treat the itching of chin acne. Actually catnip isn't recommended at all now a days. It is like a drug. Cats will literally go bonkers with catnip and can put them in a temporary state of shock. Please don't do that to your cat. Rather than that your vet can prescribe an anxiety medicine to help your cat relax and sleep. Much safer.

When I had a cat about 50 years ago, she had that chin acne. Basically hers was blackheads. I just held her and put warm towels and squeezed them out. A little at a time because she was being so good about it. I finally got them all and they didn't come back. Good luck with Tan. Blessings to you all.
Squeezing them can cause a bad infection. I don't advise it.

@@capslockon3946 I’m sorry. It’s been many years since I had a cat and I would have gone to the vet. Usually it would be diet. Try plain chicken and maybe white rice for a couple of days. That’s what I gene my dog when her tummy was upset. Good luck.

This makes me miss my cats I left to work in another country. Being homesick is triple harder when you have pets left behind.
You did an awesome job fostering, you are a great example of this! I fostered a deaf cat when 2020 closed down the animal shelters. She now has an INCREDIBLE forever mansion, including run of the house, fur siblings, quality food, toys, and a Forever mom who truly understands her since she is deaf cat number 2 after the first one passed away. But let me tell you something, nothing is scarier than an animal that is smarter than you. How the heck a cat, much less a deaf cat, could communicate with me better than the many people I know can communicate is astounding!!

That almost 1 pound off of GB is really noticeable! He looks more comfortable, & so does Tan with his loss of half a pound. I miss Yusol, too! 😢 But I'm sure she's in a good home. 😏

Hi! I love watching your videos and I also often watch "The amazing Dr. Paulo" on tv veterinarian. In one episode, a kitten appeared with the same symptoms on the chin. No one knew to teat it until one of the vets said the problem was an allergy to a type of paint or plastic. So the kitten`s owner changed all the bowls to stainless steel. After a few days the kitten healed. Hope I helped with my humble suggestion.
Have you tried using a flat plate? Keep Tan's face out of the food? If he scratches, he will have small wounds. The food will get into those wounds, and start festering. Maybe, avoid wet food for a while? (With vet's advice, of course.) Good luck. Big kiss to all.

Maybe Tan could use digestive enzymes. It’s a real thing for cats too. And if you don’t feed raw cats (and dogs) do not get the enzymes they would get in nature because heat destroys them. Good luck, Tan. 🥰

Talk to your vet about a steroid cream for Tan. It takes away the itch plus it will aid in healing the acne if that is really what it is.. It is called Clotrimazole cream.
It also helps with fungus issues plus I use it for my psoriasis on my arm and scalp. It works really well.
It is very effective for skin allergies and funguses. Applying once a day is about all you need but Tan will feel a big difference and feel so much better. It may not take it away completely but it will certainly help for skin allergies etc. and fretful itching.
Also be sure to use UNSCENTED shampoo. No fragrances! And you may just be bathing Tan too much. Cats do not need to be bathed very often. The groom theirselves very well. I bathe my cats twice a year ONLY with a shampoo with no fragrance and they have never had a skin allergy.
People think you have to bathe your cats. You don't. They bathe theirselves and bathing too often is not a good idea. Hope this helps. Stop bathing with fragrances shampoos. That just may be the problem
Another thought is his allergy may be bacterial. In that case he will need an antibiotic. Your vet should do a thin scraping of the area and have it looked at under a microscope for a possible bacterial infection and not an allergy.
I have never heard of a cat having acne and I have had cats for 40 years. I think your vet should investigate more thoroughly.
Another thought I have is that Tan should have a blood test to check for an underlying disease. It's possible something else is going on in his body. I hope not but it would be wise to check.
Wow.i get psoriasis for 4 years.i frustrated about it.but i will tried recommend cream that's your mention.are it's okay for long term used?
@@decinatalinda2466 the cream is by prescription only so ask your doctor. I needed it for a yeast infection but started using it on my psoriasis also. It will not take it will away completely. But it will somewhat, and all itching is gone if you apply once a day. Normally you won't need it more often than that. I do alot of yard work and tend to sweat alot under my breasts that will turn into a yeast infection if I am not careful. This cream was prescribed by my doctor. Since it is a steroid cream it must be ok'd by your doctor. It works so well that I haven't been to a dermatologist in years. Ask your doctor and tell him what I am telling you. Good luck.

Hello, my dear Milky Boki Tan.Seeing that Gwang Bok is slimming down, Baby Tan looks solid and his coat grows very well. Regarding to Tan's chin acne, suggest to use coconut oil to cleanse the skin, I did use this oil for my dog's skin problems. Milky is cute. A very Happy Birthday Day to Baby Tan,his BD is soon.🤗🤗🤗🎂🥰

Hello! In the past, I noticed that a pillow which my cat rests her chin on was quite dirty, and at that time I was feeding her wet food on those kind of tilted bowl too. After she was switched to a dry food diet because of IBD issues, it seemed that the pillow wasn’t as dirty. As my cat gets stressed up when handled, I cannot clean her chin, so her currently on the dry food diet helps. But that’s just on the contact cause, which Tan may or may not have. Regarding the stress, I keep a big excel sheet to keep track of everything to try and find out what is causing her IBD issues - food intake, water intake, potty, any stressors or changes made that day, etc etc, so if there’s not a log yet, maybe can try journaling down and sharing with your family vet :)) Hope Tan gets better!
