So good, man. Your stuff is making me want to get into all this tracker / sampler / whatever . No clue where to start, but I did get OctaMED 4 working, so I may read the manuals I found on that. Love your posts.
i absolutely adore how it sounds, but id like it *inside* my daw not a super extra daw :>. i guess its not what you went to do but still. sounds absolutely amazing.
I think I speak for multiple people assembled here when I say I would gladly part with money in order to not have to isolate all the individual AoN samples you've collected 😅
@@MrScoopoo10 yes i know. i have it in my studio on a imac, on my macbook pro and i buyed a extrra PC with WIN10 now just for this. a nice audiointerface will be added and then i have a dedicated system just for this kind of sampling :.-). i have a lot of old school samplers but a Fairlight was out of my budget and it takes to mutch space...i have friend s with original Fairlights :-)
Not sure if the QasarCMI is working correctly on Mac. I can't edit any notes or even insert them individually on Page R. I may be misunderstanding things because the manual is a bit lacking in detail.
If you want the most accurate Fairlight CMI simulator, this is it. But for ease of use and functionality, the CMI V VST is better suited for modern day music production.
@@JoseAngelMorente Unfortunately I don't own any Apple hardware but that sounds like it would be amazing. I do want to eventually get a tablet for a dawless setup using a tablet VST like the one you mentioned.
@@notrealy180217 Get an iPad. It is amazing for audio applications with zero-lantency. It is inexpensive and it’s like a Swiss knife for both the stage and the studio. I use it as a sampler for live performances but there are tons of excellent apps (synths, sequencers, drum machines…). I also use Cubasis on the iPad to record rehearsals and live performances (in conjunction with a Behringer X18 interface/mixer, another miraculous piece of gear for the price). The CMI App uses the original (unaltered, unprocessed, unconverted) sample library.
@@notrealy180217 From all that I've been reading the Qasar Beach CMI is not platform dependent. It's platform neutral. So, you should be able to use it in conjunction with PC, Mac or Linux systems. The only money you might want to think about spending is a donation for the developer.
Wow, that sounds sooo cool! Btw, where did you find that shout sound at 1:19? I really wanna find it bcs i am recreating "Paranoimia" and i also got super close to the original drums.
To be completely honest, I kinda forgot exactly which remix of Paranoimia I grabbed that from. It's the only time that I've heard that "OW" vocal so clean. But it's definitely one of the Paranoimia '89 remixes.
@@SynaMax I've isolated the choir sound. How do I loop within the QasarBeach Fairlight? I know that's how the choir sings longer. Forgive the newbie question, I am new to the software and the CMI OS. Thanks again!

I would love to hear many different remixes of beatbox by different people. It already has the best ingredients.
See, this is the sort of thing I stay subscribed to this channel for. I _love_ seeing what you can uncover and recreate!
Super Beat Box !!
Congratulations, I bought it cmi
Such retro, very ascii
There is an iOS Fairlight emulator called Peter Vogel CMI

Amazing! You've done a splendid recreation. I know that Qasar Beach is platform neutral. So would you please list your hardware and operating system?
where'd you get the drum sounds from btw? crazy how you found these
"It Stopped" from "And What Have You Done with My Body, God?" has the most isolated Art of Noise drums I've heard, so I ripped them from that track.
@@SynaMax mm okay I gotcha, I thought it just be like somehow you found it from a rare disc or something (or even DMX's Beat Kick and Snare)
Have you used the CMI VST in the Arturia suite yet? I wonder if this is better.

I also recommend the CMI App for the iPad, it has been produced by Peter Vogel.
