What a great haul! I love buying clothes in a bigger size when I get the opportunity to go thrift shopping or yard selling. Kids clothes are expensive for how long they wear them! Hope y'all have a great week 💜

I’m with you on the bathing suits! My daughter mostly just wore shorts and and a t-shirt to swim in, she’s 22 and they didn’t have those cool long sleeve swim shirts! 😊

My littlest girl is 7 and super sensory receptive. Lives in the shorts like the champion style with the spandex "base layer"... they are hard to find! You hit the jackpot!
Thrift stores (or Op shops as we call them here in Australia) quite often produce some very nice surprises. You said The Salvation Army (The Salvos here) are the cheapest of the thrift store in your area, whilst where I live it is actually the most expensive. We also have St. Vincent de Paul (Vinnie's) and Yooralla (an organisation for adults with mental disabilities.)
My sister shopped at Vinnie's all the time for my nephew's clothes between the ages of 6 months and 6 years.
Great haul! So much stuff at such a bargain! One of the dog toys reminds me of Scamp from Lady and the Tramp. Loved that movie! Jasper looks so happy! 😍❤

Great job, Miranda, especially for the amount you spend (no spoilers, folks). I will say, though, that Shein's quality is getting much better. Of course, you get what you pay for and there are websites with better quality clothes but they have been upping their game lately. Yeah, their older merch was bad, I agree there. I'd recommend that you inspect anything with their logo on and don't dismiss it out of hand. Also, they're carrying other brands now, so you could pick up something from "Shein" without realizing it.
My favourite is the shorts with the layers - leggings and shorts over top. So cute.
I agree about bathing suits, especially bottoms. For some reason, they expect young girls to want to be sexy at the beach. I'm so glad you and Curtis are looking out for her.

Talking about the heat. It was 42oC when I came out of work today. My youngest daughter didn’t like jeans either when she was little. She liked the girly colours and sparkles. She had to have a pair of black shiny shoes for her birthday every year. She now has pink hair and pink car and lives in jeans.

Kids are expensive bc everything has to be name brand as well. Our uniforms for school are pricey for sure. Like $600 to $800 per kid for the year depending on what things u buy. We didn't buy shorts yet.
Both of my daughters hated jeans and wouldn’t wear them. When they got into the teen years that’s when they started wearing them.

O my goodness I love those shorts with the spandex shorts underneath! So modest! Even though my girl is a girly girl she isn’t always the most little lady like. Hahaha amazing haul! I love cat and jack because they are long and skinny, so difficult to find skinny clothes for my girl lol ok let’s be honest I love all these clothes, I also love how you pick her bathing suit, I am the same way. So hard to find modest clothing for girls nowadays! I love thrift shopping especially since I am constantly buying my girl clothes. She is 5 and size 8-10 in adidas and like brands 😭 thank goodness my other 3 don’t grow as fast! Lol 😂

My son is 13 and he also hates jeans. Only sweats or lightweight athletic pants for him. We have a thrift store out here near Abbotsford BC called MCC and I load up on books for my son there. He reads so much that I cannot afford to buy new books anymore so MCC it is. 25 cents to a $1 for books, heck yah!

I get stuffy s from the thrift stores for my dogs too. Baby ones never have beans or plastic eyes. Mine don’t really tear them up either but they sure get slobbered on.

I am not sure, but I think we share the same sarcasm... there is an author called Jen Lancaster and I began reading her like 15 years ago and met her. She is hilarious, yet relateable if you want to find like a bunch of fun reads! Ps been working for The Salvation Army for over 20 years - you can just ask for adult hangers an most times they will give them too you!

GIRL! I am SO with you on the bathing suit bottoms! I wish there were more inclusive coverage options for females widely available! I have switched to all shorts bottoms for myself. The more time goes on, the less desire I have to be wearing underwear bottoms in public! Just, no thanks! I recently found some workout shorts at Walmart with liners. They are going to be my choice bathing suit bottoms this summer! Public wedgies? Pass! Things showing I don't want to show? Hard pass. Shorts! SHORTS!! Just like the men get to wear. Bathing suit equality is my idea of personal feminism!

Here in United kingdom my local charity shop dove house hospice they sell kids clothing four items for a pound and they sell more expensive items on Ebay UK and its 5 min walk away from my house it's not like these big national charities that RIP people off it's just small local charity here in east Yorkshire l try to donate to them because they were wonderful when older big sister died in there hospice staff are lovely do wot l can ever if its something small and been lots parts Spain its beautiful country and depends on wot part hes going to needs lots of sun cream as well hope he has brilliant time in Spain

I don't have a lot of them anymore more are on my Kindle PC app and Google play now but otherwise the books I have are spiritual, personal development, law of attraction universal laws n such and I don''t part with those lol I have mos of the Dan Brown books - .. and others so ... maybe we can send you books we don't want anymore.. of course I'm asking here if you'll read that kind of thing that I mentioned earlier ... I didn't think I'd like it but it's alll Medieval England knda a thing and how politics and religion, knights and kings etc.. all kinda clash etc.. all over building churches and the stuff of love and what goes on with the rich and poor etc...
so if you're into that I'll send you the series when I'm done with it.. I'm on book 2 and there are 2 more for me to read after that
