Active duty tanker here. These Abrams were real. They were used at NTC and JMRC by the OPFOR units for the rotational combat unit to train against. Today these tanks have been replaced by heavily modified M113s and the ERA on those is simply made of wood and the little blade you see in the front was made of some poles and OSHKOSH mudflaps. I’m assuming the ERA is made of wood on the KVT as well so it probably isn’t very helpful against any kind of munitions.

Regarding collecting peoples turrets, back in the days in eve online, there where always people running around and picking up frozen corpses from people who had been podded (ie, properly killed back to hangar). You'd get a "frozen corpse of XXX" or something similar. Some of those weirdos would literally have thousands of them.

I second this motion. Turrets as tags is an amazing idea. It would add another element of healthy competition, and would actually encourage players to get better at the game because not all shots will pop turrets.
I agree with the turret pop thing, add it to collectibles inventory. Tell what vehicle and which player it came from and how many turrets of that vehicle you have popped. Personally I would make it my goal to go across all tiers and try to collect all of the turrets. Maybe make an unlockable decal or camo or something for popping them all

I think Gaijin should add 'vismod' packages to existing vehicles. That way they can make money without choking everyone for silver lions via an oppressive economy. Like sandbags on M4's and what not. all the cool little nets and debris on tanks in photos. They can sell them as skins, and make different ones unlockable via grinding, kind of like games do with weapon skins. Get a collateral kill, yadda yadda. Think of an M551 with one of the BMP vismods, or just all the stuff people decorated their real tanks with.
War Thunder needs a system where we can have killboards for our tanks and aircraft. It would track what you had killed and how many and you would get silhouettes on your tank that showed it.
To expand on your turret dog tag idea because I think it's cool make it more involved, if we take a tank out and want a trophie from it we have to drag the the dead body of the tank back to base with our tow cables, maybe we get an xp reward if the tank is of a similar tech tree as the tank we used to recover it. Of course you make the dead body have weight so it's a challenge to get it back and maybe once someone starts to tow the tank it notifies the enemy to hunt you down to make it dynamic.

M1 power=pack does not have a "Radiator" the yellow area of your tank is the transmission and left side final drive that got hit by the Leopard-II.
