I can attest, this process results in better grind quality. In my opinion, the issue is because of the nonuniform torque produced by our hands. Have you tried grinding using the Hario electrical attachment (electro solo/mobile mill stick)? I hypothesise that using the electrical stick will produce much better results.
@@ColorsofSoundRUclips that too, among many other things. I believe because of the uniform and fast torque produced by the electrical stick, many of the issues (such as burr wobble, cutting inefficiency etc) might have less of an impact on the ground coffee quality.
Hey any update on the aeropress? I just bought this grinder and came across the video - I also liked the potential from an earlier comment about attaching the hand drill to a socket to turn it with more consistency...Thanks, hope you're good.
My idea with grinding coarser first was to crack the beans so that the grinder can perform better on the second and finer grind. Let us know if grinding the same twice works well for you!
If you where able to afford an espresso machine, i think it would be better to invest in a better coffee grinder. It can grind quite fine, for moka pot it is good enough, but for espresso i would strongly advice a better grinder
Whenever i prepare my coffe with the hand grinder and with a v60 im always left with some mud like sediment, and i cant seem to fix that. I do not know if its the grimding or the preparation. Anyone has ant tips?
Here's another tip you can use a power drill with the right size socket to turn the wheel instead of the handle. It's effortless and easy!
How different is it from grinding on 13 twice

I didn't know about this product, looks interesting! I think it's also because of the ceramic burrs not "cutting" as good as steel burrs.

What is the maximum number of clicks in this model? From zero to how many counterclockwise?
Basically until it comes apart
Thanks! I just got this grinder and did a pour over that’s not bad but I’m getting an aeropress soon so I’ll try your technique!

Would you not get the same results if you used a finer setting, like 9 or lower?
Can we store the leftover grounded coffee in the base jar?
Its a bit of a fuss changing setings between grindings, so what happens of you grind on 13, then 13 again?

you can buy 2 of this thing and leave them set and just swap the coffee. what a bright idea, isn't it? 😄
Can we get espresso grind size from this.
No, not really
It can depends on the machine. Check the video Flair x Hario Coffee Mill Ceramic Slim.

How is the coffee produced from one method compared to the other method? Say V60
The body is missing when the grind is not evenly distributed as in the "default" method.

It's normal
Je draaid je wezenloos, ik heb hem in de kast gezet en komt er nooit meer uit.😢
Interesting... I think it's better to buy a better grinder like the german coffee grinder Commandante
Mine only clicks 8 times wtf?
Breakfast by noon!
Basically, you are doing the same job as an auger in some electric grinders
Scot Inlet
Norris Square
Waters Trace
Anyone tried grinding weed with this?
Smitham Loop
Mraz Mountains
lol, you can do it on 7 clicks and you will get the same result
Thad Estate
Would love to hear if you have any thoughts on your 1zpresso to share!
Nothing other than that I can recommend it as an all-rounder.
