Coote was an idiot to be videoed and more so if he thought it wouldn’t ever become public. We don’t know it was a mate who dobbed him in. Maybe one of his mates shared it with someone who wasn’t a friend and felt people should know about it.

It's worth remembering that these PL refs are not lowly-paid guys like the blokes sounding off down the boozer after a game. They are paid as top professional people and should be expected to behave to professional standards. Mike Dean was reportedly earning around £200,000 a year when he retired. Current PL refs have a basic starting salary that falls between £73,191 and £147,258 depending on experience. This is then topped up by £1,116 per game, making £200K a year quite feasible for the likes of Coote. Bear in mid the average wage in the UK is around £35K, the Prime Minister's salary is £165K and a District Judge earns £143K. Is it really too much to expect the refs to a) be good at their jobs and b) behave with ethics and integrity?

The lad in the video has now been named, a former, apparent failed cricketer. Now suspended by his employer. Hope they joyed their 24 hours in the limelight as it appears their career's are over. Happy Christmas.
He’s a clown of a referee I’ve always said he’s anti LFC when he’s been involved and for this he should be banned from all football,even junior levels and get a prison sentence,it’s a fu--ng disgrace

Didn't realise they earning that much 🤔
He would also earn more refereeing for UEFA at euros and nations league etc.
He should never ref again and I am just hoping it will make us stronger and go on to win the league
Hopefully bit this was 2020 moving on we can't truly rely on official like this that's for certain which is worrying
