Beautiful video of a beautiful performance. I discovered Suzanne Vega recently for myself. She was like "Tom's Dinner" for me before, but damm now I have so much to discover. Thank you Suzanne for you existence )
I'm here for International Women Day. Wanted to share a song with my students. Suzanne is my fav female voice ever. Thanks for this guitar version of In Liverpool.
Honestly, how much do you have in the vault? It's beyond incredible, you're becoming the John Peel of video-performances, so very much appreciated! And one day when we'll have that full Elliott Smith-performance and interview in HQ, this fool can die ;) Thanks again!
In the summer of 1990 I was going through some life challenges. Two albums inspired me a lot - a Neil Young album whose title escapes me and your “Solitude Standing.” This song was on it and several of my all-time favorites. So delicate and hard-edged at the same time. So haunting, romantic and intriguing.
@@jespersahnerpedersen around the same time as you, I obsessed over Solitude Standing. It was a lonely person's album. I was at my loneliest and somehow it helped get me through that time. I was 19, wandering around London in my study abroad year, listening to that album.
A great live performance, i had the privilege to see her quite a few years ago in Manchester she gave us all a fantastic show.
Saw her in the 80s at Carnegie hall, standing on the same stage 30 years later, life is surreal but dreams can come true!
Iam jealous x
La migliore dei suoi tempi, semplicemente...... classe allo stato puro ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So glad this was recorded, even if it is for me just to see and hear it just once.
her voice is so warm when she's singing but much deeper / colder when she's talking about her music. Quite a contrast. 😊

This song is perfection. I have so many memories attached to this. Suzanne is a musical/lyrical genius
she's so smooth and lovely singing but the tone of her voice is so much deeper / colder when she's talking about her music. Quite a contrast. 😊

Such a perfect song , by such a great artiste , saw her live 30 years ago , but it never ages .
Wow!
Qué preciosa que era (y sigue siendo) Suzanne Vega y con un talento descomunal. Además su voz no ha perdido un ápice a día de hoy.
