I never leave comments but Courtney seeing Kevin at 7:50 absolutely needs to be talked about.
Made my heart so warm. I think ill bring a dog to come on longer efforts , that way someone is that happy to see me😂 that was truly awesome to see her get that excited.
@@codyrobinson5130 I couldn't stop smiling!
@@PurpleGirrafeNsoccer if i could only find that much support from anyone in my life 😄 what an awesome video though.
Completely agree. Ridiculously cute. Ace couple.
I love Courtney's positivity. She's always encouraging other runners. That woman is a monster and can crush anyone and yet, she will just genuinely be a fan girl for like 2 seconds. That "good job!" from her must mean a lot to other runners.
She is The Best!
I am in my 50's and never been a runner but Dam it watching a few of their videos has made me go out there and putting in some miles a week. Now the goal is to go farther every month.
The Shoop I was 52 when I started trying to run, I was severely overweight and had a terrible lifestyle. Fast forward six years I’ve run ultras up to 50 miles and plenty of other distances, trail running was my saviour, The Shoop, stick at it I’m literally like a teenager again ( minus my hair) trail running brings so much positivity to your life, my next goal is a 100 miler. Stay safe
@@IloveElon2 That is Awesome,
huge props to you!!! i am only 35 and never was a runner. these ultra races have shifted my perception of what is possible and resparked a sense of adventure and freedom i hadnt felt since i was in my early 20s. so, i got off my ass, ran a few hundred yards, then walked, then ran a few hundred more. and so it went for the last 4 months. i love to get out far from my house (and comfort zone) whether i am walking or running. i no longer think of my car in the same way, and feel so blessed to have legs and be able to get myself out and explore this fine world. i wish you the best and many many adventures!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I ran my first ultra at the age of 50.
1. Look good
2. Feel good
3. Look good
4. Safety
5. Batteries for the headlamp 😆
🤣
@@SalomonTV 6. Wear Salomon!
These people are SUCH INCREDIBLY role models! Simply put, they do seriously tough stuff, but remain light and playful about it. No stupid egos. Runner or not, they're inspirational.
8:54 Courtney "lactating" water onto the two ladies sitting there...that was soooo funny... LOL
LMAO what did she expect was gonna happen 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely adorable couple. Well done Kevin. Epic hilarious fail with the batteries. Courtney greeting Kevin at the aid station; wonderful. Thank you Salomon for highlighting this humble inspiring partnership and the dynamic between them.
Yes, you summed it up beautifully
3:53 ... This is why we love you Courtney ... "MAKE GOOOOD CHOICEEEES" 🏃
This is now my default farewell phrase.
COUPLE GOALS!!!
Truth.
I love how he's suffering so hard at 13:15 and Court is literally just strolling behind him taking in the views. #rude
🤣
Lets be honest, its not fair having court pace the last 50 after youve been out there form already
@@icculus19lol! I think it’s fair to say not fair for Courtney pacing anyone because you know internally you’d be thinking she’s just casually strolling at this pace (however fast it actually is)
This guy is a cool dude. Quiet, confident and content!
Courtney is low-key hilarious.
Agreed. 😂
This was awesome! I teared up at the end. Congratulations Kevin! You two are so humble and so inspirational!
That was a great FINISH!!! I was there too, trudging through the rain and hail storms several hours behind you guys, but only made it to 85 miles. To conquer such a difficult trail experience is amazing! Congrats!
"Only" 85 miles....
Amazing man.
Next time, to the finish!
Have you tried again?
7:59 her jumping up and down i love it. Awesome job Kevin
Courtney has always been my runner crush but holy are her and Kevin perfect for each other!
i love this one! usually we see courtney out there running.. but this one proves how they both complement each other, warms my heart!
47. Just started running consistently. Up to 6 mile runs from C25K program. I’m loving it and taking it super slow but I look forward to every run and feel like ima kid again.
I watched the end of this like 20 times. The love is so evident. So heart warming.
These two are just so likable ! Funny, humble and truly a cute couple. Also, do amazing things in the outdoor as a hobby ; )
I just want to say thanks for putting this up. I love watching the elites do their thing but there’s something special about watching a ‘normal’ (there’s nothing normal about a 100 mile finisher!) person run this race. Courtney is just delightful, too. Thanks Kevin for taking us for this ride. And congratulations.
Congratulations Kevin! Way to get it done! This whole video was awesome. So much love and support! ❤️
i will be using "look good, feel good, look good- safety" from now on. thank you, Kevin + Courtney
Imma find myself a lifetime support crew
It's so surreal seeing events from before the pandemic. Everyone is sitting too close!!!
*Plandemic
Dangit, my "sinus" always plays up when I watch a Courtney/Kevin clip.
Good lord I could be so lucky. I'm going to be crewing myself when I run this distance...
You can do it!🙌
I'm a fan of Courtney. Watching Courtney & Kevin makes me really happy. For me, that is couple goals. I hope one day, there will be someone who will be my 100 miles crew and also my partner in life.
"Make a good choices"...... what a lovely thing to say!
Congratulations Kevin! I absolutely loved this video, and the supportive relationship between those two. I'm no Courtney, and my husband doesn't run, but he crews all of my ultras and is my rock.
What a beautiful human soul! Forever an inspiration and to look at the crew being crewed! :) Congrats Kevin! Love from India!
Courtney is truly the best! 🙌
Why not give ultra a try? Reason #1: pain. Ultra runners have different brains as far as I can tell. It's not just physical pain, it seems to be mental, emotional, and psychological as well. A vanishingly tiny number of people are willing, let alone able, to do ultras. Nevertheless, I'm a big fan of Courtney because of her brutal honesty and incredible talents. Some of those male ego ultra runners that get more attention just piss me off.
I think MANY people are capable of 50ks, possibly 50 miles. It's just almost a taboo thing in a society so focused on comfort and convenience. The main lesson I've learned from ultras is that pain and hardship truly are temporary. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and you'll come through the other side. That's a lesson many people would benefit from experiencing.
Yahoo’s giving the thumbs down 👎🏼. Why? Such a cute story of a loving couple working their dreams.
It’s good to see Courtney in a supportive roll. She’s awesome.
You two are couple goals!! Well Done Kevin! Amazing effort and great Vid!
Pfff, having Kourtney as crew would motivate me to conquer anything... even watching her on youtube while experiencing a low makes me forget what I was complaining about to begin with!
Alll the smiles watching these two rock life together ☺️
You 2 are phenomenal together! So inspirational in so many ways!
Video about Kevin and Kevin spends the whole time talking about Courtney. I'd say he's a keeper!
😂
Love how this is the other way around. Go Courtney and Kevin!
I so want to do some day a 100miler...is it possible at my age 60? I want to complete Ironman Lake Placid...then I’ll start at this amazing distance 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You can do it, Martha! 🙌
Salomon TV that is in my bucket list...I have nothing to loose and everything to gain!!!
Not a bad pacer to have. Only one of the best Ultra runners in the world! 😲😊
Such a cool couple ❤
Amazing achievement for Kevin, and Courtenay demonstrates how even the most experienced ultra runner can miss simple things like batteries 🤣
Such love for the sport, no matter how tough it gets, so positive
That makes her even more human. Love Courtney
Awesome video. Love the support you two have for each other.
I live for this 💩 so thank you for a great video.
Wow! This documentary of Kevin and Courtney is awesome!!! I am on a path to lose weight and keep a positive mindset, but somedays it's hard. This really helped me to see that even runners doing these kinds of races face battles too. I love how they encourage each other. Both of you are such an inspiration!!!!! :)
Boy, he's got an excellent off-the-wall sense of humour
Courtney. Remind me not to ask you to crew for me lol
😂
Congratulations!! Solid and impressive achievement!! And what a lovely couple :)
#SagaBingeWatchingSalomonTV
Yesterday i did my first hike since this covid thing began. But it was extra special beecause i ws testing my self after a heart situation discovered a couple months back. Finished the hike with my salomon boots, and now i see this video. I have a couple tears......there most be someone cutting onios somewhere.
Fantastic Video - batteries included. :). - what a Dream Team - thank you for sharing
I love watching Courtney and Kevin. It’s so exhilarating experience. I wish and hope I could do ultra someday but maybe 50. I love running
Go for it I'm 52 I had been running trail Ultra races. My goal is not to win a race but to finish and not give up.
Great video and story!
I don't really understand why Americans never mention the total altitude change of their races. Courtney says it herself, it's a big part of the difficulty of a course. And yet, it's always all just 50 milers or 100 milers...
I could watch this vid a zillion times and still cry seeing the depth of their love for one another❤❤❤
Watching them trying to get the headlight to work, and come to find out Courtney forgot the batteries was great.
Right?! 😂
Salomon TV might want to consider adding to the video title that this was the 2019 Bear 100. People wondering why no social distance protocols in place since video was just published in the last week.
@@trideb1🙄
Love this! Makes me think of, if I tried to crew my husband. LOL. Also motivated me to keep moving to longer distances
This video captures exactly why I love doing ultras... it's a humble sport. I don't post my runs on social media, apart from my running app which is only for other runners... and I always post about my mistakes! Plenty of those! Good for laughs! Headtorch died ? Done that... gotten lost in the dark? You haven't lived if you haven't gotten lost in the dark, on your own, in the rain. And then... you see someone's headtorch coming out of the darkness... YES! I can find the track again! Good times :D
Been there done that... 😅
Does Courtney ride in the trunk everytime she goes to her races? 🤔
I am brand new to this ultra stuff ( like yesterday)
I always imagined it was running at least 99% of time.
I am attempting a trail 30 miler.
Do folks walk as much?
Genuine question, help
It all depends on the runner and what pace they want to maintain. There's nothing wrong with light jogging/ walking (specially on the climbs) 😉
How did it go!? And yes, I'm sure you've already learned, but walking is extremely common unless you're an elite ultra runner, and even they walk at times!
Way to go, Kevin! YOU ROCK!!!!! Great job! What an incredible experience, eh? Peace brother!
YOU HAD ONE JOB ! BATTERIES 😭😂
Love! This! Amazing! I am trying to get my wife to run with me, would be soo good to cross the finish line with the one you love! 👍😍
If ever you fancy crewing for a stranger in the UK 🇬🇧🙏
"Start slow and then fade" ....love it! Greetings to both of you💪
My new mantra.
Absolutely adorable couple. Well done Kevin. Epic hilarious fail with the batteries. Courtney greeting Kevin at the aid station; wonderful. Thank you Salomon for highlighting this humble inspiring partnership and the dynamic between them.
Couldn't agree more... couple goals. 😉
I can't even imagine running 100miles. I do 4.5miles and I'm dying the last 1.5miles. DYING
You build up to it, one day you'll look back and you'll be able to do that in your sleep and you'll have yourself to thank👍❤
Courtney is my inspiration ❤ love ya love your work and mind heart every thing from nepal ❤
Nice to see a different side of Courtney.
Good job Kevin.
Do you have a prepared list of all of the gear that you use? Maybe a blog post or article somewhere?
Such a cool story, love Courtney more and more...her husband is awesome, my wife has crewed me, but would never run one!
Good job Kevin.
Courtney is the Goat ultra runner and crew leader 😂
7:50 = you made my day :-)
For an activity that is clearly a total waste of time, energy and money for myself, because as a runner, I know what kind of training I would need to pull off a record run on one of these - but I can see what draws a person in. It's their limitation ironically. I don't think these people are capable of much more than this, that's why they spend so much time on it. As I go through life, my appreciation has evolved from those who take on difficult tasks to those who take on the frowned upon task of creating meaningful synergies from their journey.
he looks sooooooo skinny ... but i knew him when he was probably 20 pounds heavier (and more built because he was a climber) in college. miss you, buddy!
Everyone should be fortunate enough in life to have a pacer/wife/significant other like Courtney Dauwalter.
Great video on Cortney is the part of the crew and the music at the McDonald's segment a riot.
A good learning what an Ultra is, plus what to do and no do.
Good way to continue to grow and support Ultra and the fun plus
You guys never cease to amaze me! Well done!
I know this is Salomon TV but I am really here for Courtney and Kevin....
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
Awesome to see pushing that hard! I wish our loacal trails looked like that. ruclips.net/video/vJOomaEC0s4/видео.html This is a local guy running our trails
Loved this!
That brought tears. Really loved that one. Well done Kevin!
Geaux Kevin!!! (quick question- was he crewing his crewer with the headlamp?) Y’all are so inspiring, thank you. 🍻🍺🍺
Courtney is the crew (pacer) who can run as good as, or perhaps better than her runner (husband). 😁
Wow well done Kevin! Awesome job. You and Courtney are inspirational :)))
Great job Kevin - greetings from the Blackforrest Germany !
Three commercials in a short video? You got to be kidding
What a lovely couple
Awesome job Kevin 👍
Do you run in all weather's even in the snow aswell Courtney
I love to run maybe one day I can do at least half of the 100 🤗
"Miss you! Make good choices!" "Thanks mom!"
A great Vibe!
Great video
