Kecap Manis (Sweet Soy Sauce) is foundation of many Indonesian dishes (Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Sate .etc) so it's not supposed to be eaten as is. The simplest dish that i can think of that go well with Kecap Manis just is Rice poured with Kecap+Egg (Scrambled or Sunnyside). It also great for grilling sauce (It caramelized beautifully), as Dipping sauce (Just add chopped shallots+Chopped chillies+Chopped Onion and you're good to go), Pairs well with many our traditional soup (Soto, Gulai, Kari .etc).
As an Indonesian person, there are lots and lots of more foods other then just that. There is a chips called Taro and it comes with many different flavors, my favorites are personally seaweed, and there is ultra milk and it also comes with many different flavors, also something called Chitato, its also a chip and also comes with many different flavors, and yes Indomie is a really famous noodle in Indonesia. I'm sure every people from Indonesia have already eaten Indomie (I kinda forgot sone foods fron Indonesia because I moved to another country but thats foods I could tell).
4:19 that's is Kecap and it was key ingredients for making Indonesian fried rice, Indonesian Mie goreng ( fried Nodle ) even indomie that you eat have that Kecap ( sweet soy sauce) and also it was sauce for Indonesian satay(skewers ) and Indonesian kecap chicken, mix it with green chilli and you get spicy sweet sauce and eat it with hot fried Tempeh.
Im so happy Indonesia gets noticed by a popular ytber because as an Indonesian myself i agree with you ratings on these- the "sweet soy sauce" is called kecap here. Its used for cooking not really for eating it plain- just wait until you try nasi goreng! (Fried rice)
For the kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), try to eat it with rice and fried egg and drizzle it on top of the egg, you may add shallots if you like, that’s an amazing meal. And btw, indomie goreng contains some kecap manis in their seasoning as well, that’s one of the main component that makes them taste that good
Here a tip about the sweet soy souce : It will taste bad if you eat it alone but if you eat it with other Indonesian food it will probably taste better than before

The thing is, kecap manis/sweet soy sauce is more of a seasoning first and dipping sauce second. When caramelized, it has deep umami flavor with distinct sweetness, you can use it for authentic Indonesia cuisine or use it to subtitute soy sauce or brown sugar. You can use it to for dipping sauce by itself for certain foods (such as fried tofu, dimsum, fried chicken, etc), but if you combine it with the hot sauce you can pretty much dip anything with it. When eaten by itself, well, it taste bad lol
