@@gordonryan3494 how is 1:15:38 not "almost" dude got 90% of his setup there. Gordon slipped his toes and escape at the end, had he not done it , he would be heelhooked.
gordons sumi gaeshi on buchecha was the changing of the guard... he pulled off a picture perfect sweep on a bjj god as if he'd done that to him 10x before...it was pretty jaw dropping in that moment
Gary and Gordon obviously planned that one. Gary lost intentionally and had to make it look realistic to not tire Gordon out for the rest of the absolute.
In fact, the final between Gordon and Buchecha did not actually have a winner. The event uses penalties to give someone victory otherwise the fight does not end within the scheduled time.
its meant to encourage guys to take risk without losing points as consequence by losing position. unfortunately, athletes take advantage and make it boring
@@amart23they take “advantage” of this BECAUSE IT’S STUPID. If I can’t score points why should I put in effort. generally doing offense is more tiring than being on defense this is well known. @@matthewlee8618yeah bc ibjjf matches are way more exciting right 😂, stalling is even worse when points are there from the beginning bc there is basically no risk taking
@@yannmoyes2493I mean I watched the whole open division besides really tsprigs there was not a lot of actions or attempts. Obviously ADCC is the best but taking away points in favor of longer matches really just doesn’t do justice to who’s in control of the match from the beginning and jujitsu is about control. Honestly prolonging matches may be the problem not the rules. Wrestling gets longer in college and it can be more boring to a casual fan because they wait to score because of the fear of fatigue
This is worth for the Lachlan Giles matches alone… that run was EPIC.
He's a serious gangster
Saunders having the audacity to claim "Best Bjj competitor in Aus" is hilarious lol

Thank you!
Thank you
Lachlan is awesome
as a new guys, I now understand why lachlan giles was so respected, he almost heelhook Gordon Ryan damn.
heelhooking kaynan is just as impressive
If by almost, you mean not even remotely close in any sense of the word, then yes
yeah and gordans attempts at heel hooking him were easily defeated and he ended up backing out of that to do something else
lachlans a beast

That moment when Gordon laughs at Buchechas heel hook attempt cracks me up every time

Great video, that orange trail is a beast for sure. Seems like every time I come off it I to Billy’s lake the wind is right in my face.

Shout out to K.Krikorian they did his ass dirty with that matchup
Crazy weight diff
I wonder if the "omg no butt scoot" crowd loved Ryan vs Buchecha standing up holding eachothers necks for 10 minutes?
Thanks, Flo.
The first sub i have seen from spriggs.
Gary and Gordon obviously planned that one. Gary lost intentionally and had to make it look realistic to not tire Gordon out for the rest of the absolute.
nah gordon just has his number... they've trained together how many hundred thousand times no need to throw
Xande spotting that Gary and Gordon match was a fix.
It’s adcc training preparing for cji

1:35 you did what? 😂
Why did Gordon win that?
❤
What Lachlan did here ...
do these figthers get testes for dopping?
Yes they test to make sure they’re all on PED’s
no (pretty much) everyone is doped in grappling
They get test alright
Not in ADCC, but it can be the case in IBJJF, it's all about the competition
So basically they’re all cheating.
top fighter cockroach attitude
I long for the day when BJJ is not 99% heel hooks
Have points start right away no other sport doesn’t allow you to score right away

Rules set is dogshit. Penalty points are dumb as hell…
