I have 2 years of hands on experience with expertise in many technologies, Recently I posted my resume to "Toptal" freelancing site but they simply rejected my resume without taking into consideration my skills just because I mentioned my English speaking level is Basic. In the reply they stated that "your English speaking level should be proficient so improve you English speaking skills and retry after 1 YEAR". & That sentence burnt me out from inside.
1 simple solution is also Use discord and ask doubts to foreign programmer in VC channels in English..... It might be difficult for u to understand them but soon after you will get use to it.

Bare Min English is imp for technical interview and an average level English will fetch you a job in HR. No need to be a Shakespeare for that. I recently got placed in LTI @ 6.5 LPA thanks to harry bhai for his DS and C++ series, loved it bhai
I am a person from non technical background. In current scenario english is very important, because you can not expect that your client understand your language. So you are left with only option of english. Today companies can overlook your technical capability over english communication. Infect my hiring was on the basis of my communication , when I gave interview, I was the only person hired from my interview batch, people I was competing with were from B-tech background and technically way a head in comparison to me. So learn english communication and improve your native communication as well, remember speaking a language and having good communication in that language is two different things. my advice, for a short time join any BPO call center whose customer are from the US or any other Native english speaker country.
