      i heard this piece countless times but it is the first time the pianist dynamics are not dropping before the coda. Her handshake can probably crush anybody.

      @@ericastier1646I agree completely. I played this piece many years ago, and one of the trickiest things is to properly modulate the dynamic levels. You are playing so many notes so rapidly that it is so easy to fall into that trap of everything just sounding loud and messy. I think that this is why I love Yuja’s performance so much. Despite all of the technical difficulties, she is still able to shape each phrase beautifully. And her voicing is so on point that she helps guide the listener through the music, emphasizing and highlighting the most important thematic material at any given time.

      @@charles.e.g. I agree fully. I love her pianism, she can do musical things that are beyond the limit of what is possible at the world class level that other pros cannot. And that would already make me admire her but i also love her, her mood, he gorgeous dressing style choice of fabric and dress colors and her convivial mood. I like her not giving a sh but still being generous smiling naturally and no nerves issue at all.

    The best rendition of this piece. It should be almost impossible anatomically to play like this, no even considering the perfect accuracy and incredible sustained forte dynamic in the middle of the piece. The developed physical power is massive, her tendons are steel and her arm and finger muscles hyper developped by now. I bet she can split thin timber with her fingers or crush a closed soda can.

    • @ericastier1646
      @ericastier1646 8 месяцев назад

      For the composing, such pieces are composed very slowly based on harmony one bar at a time. maybe 10 x slower. When the piece is all well a tempo is chosen. Don't think the composer composed this immediately at the tempo.

    • @ericastier1646

      the real reason is her brain has to fire massive amount of electric impulses to the finger and arm muscles. The energy is so high it is like draining a lithium battery in 2 minutes instead of 2 hours. To do that feat psychology plays a part and rhythmic talking is like self encouragement to support the production of electricity in the brain. It really is a physiologic need to play like this. The equivalent of shouting when doing athletic feat.
