I deep conditioned over night when I was rocking the curls before I got locs. After I’m done with chemo, I gotta see what my hair texture is going to do once my hair grows back. I honestly loved hydrating over night. My hair/scalp drinks moisturizing products like nobody’s business
The molecules in deep conditioners are small enough to penetrate into the hair, while rinse out conditioners are just supposed to coat the hair making it soft for that moment.
When people leave a deep conditioner on for hours, or overnight, they usually have a cap over it to keep it from drying out. When you use it as a styler, it eventually dries so the “Hydro fatigue” is less likely to happen.
I do these as well. ita the best thing for chemical treated hair or damaged hair. It makes hair so soft because it actually penetrates into the hair shaft unlike regular conditioner or even leave-ins.
I use deep conditioner as a styler all the time. My hair is so shiny and moisturized and my curls look amazing. Of course, if you want more definition and hold you probably won’t want to use a conditioner as a styler, or at least not by itself. But I don’t mind a bit of frizz. I usually use it during the work week because it’s just easier for me. I don’t have to layer a bunch of products. But if I’m going someplace nice where I’m dressed up, I will use gels, custards, pudding, creams, etc for more curl definition and hold.
Video Request = Can you try 'Old School' Vs 'New School' hair products from the same brands? It would be interesting to see if the new stuff wins or if the 'old' products were better. Lol
I use nubian heritage deep conditioner masque indian hemp & tamanu for my braid outs. I love it! The definition is so much better & softer to the touch.
Have you ever tried silicon mix products,I know they say don’t use it,but it does great on natural hair. not sure why it’s quote on quote bad but it softened and moistures the hair
I use rinse out conditioners for my wash n go styles. It makes my curls look better. I co-wash, then add the conditioner one last time, detangle, and go.
Conditioner is good for natural hair. Why would that be crazy? A leave in does just as good when styling natural hair depending on what brand. You get a good leave in conditioner for your twist outs during wash day and you’ll love those results too.
Hunnybee leave in conditioner is just what it says it is...a leave in conditioner is clearly what my comment says and those are good for preventing curly hair from drying out. Leave ins work great for my curls, and my styles last longer when I use my leave in conditioner. I didn’t say anything about a deep conditioner
I used to do this with the Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque and it worked so well for me!! Now, not so much since SM is all finicky with my hair . But it's a good way to use up deep conditioners you're not obsessed with
I actually do this often with my protein free mask or even the light protein ones. My favorite ones to use as a cream is the Soultanicals monoi moisture and sometimes the afrotastic but I use less of that one cause it’s heavy. My twist come out fire 🔥 . Try some different ones give me some more to try
You also want to be careful with protein-based deep conditioners. I made the mistake of leaving it on for longer than the instructions suggested, and my hair was a hard mess.
It came out gorgeous!!! Don't worry, this video isn't weird in the slightest. You've washed your hair with dishwashing liquid and that came out bomb so.. Ehh. You're fine in my book
Thanks so much for this video. I’m learning so much from it and the some of the comments below. Right now I’m transitioning to natural after many many years of relaxers and moisture has always been an issue. I have some Nubian Heritage Indian Hemp & Tamanu Grow and Strengthen treatment masque I bought years ago from a Target clearance section for $1.75. A great deal but didn’t use too often and for some reason I never threw it out because I knew it had potential and really loved the smell. Now I have a great use for it. Will let you know how this turns out.
I’m going to try styling with a deep conditioner. You’re the second person I’ve seen try this and both results make me a believer! Also, can you try hydra hair care line... specifically the curlformer? Happy Holidays! ,
I’ve been seeing more and more people style with deep conditioners lately. It looks interesting but I have too many products to get through to be doing that
I use to use deep conditioner and rinse out conditioners on my hair all the time for braid outs lol. I would get the moisture and definition. You’re hair looks super cute!
I have actually started washing more often during the winter 3 days out of the week typically every other day. And deep conditioning once every other week and my hair is doing great. I am honestly not to sure that deep conditioning is doing anything for my hair at all.
I learned to use deep conditioner as a leave in when doing twist outs from happycurlhappygirl! Best decision ever!💃💃 My hair stays moisturized longer.. I was wondering when other RUclipsrs was gonna hop on the train😂😂😂 Cute results... Maaliyah tho 😚😂😂
Thank you for finally trying a deep condition to style your hair. I have high porosity hair which will not hold moisture so once I mixed about a teaspoon of deep condition into my usual cream styler and my wash & go came out great and lasted about 4 days. This never happens. Will try it again now that I see your hair came out great without a mixture!
I would've never thought to use deep conditioner as a styler! And I actually love the DCs feel on my hair lol so I would love to see how my hair would turn out. I have my hair in braids now, so when I take them I'm gonna try this!
Ok so I’m going to leave in my masque, who knew 🤷🏽♀️ Soooo super cute😘 so how many twists would you have added to not do the middle part? Thanks for the video! #BombResults #CurlsOnFleek
No Vlogmas. Maybe next year. I just honestly don’t have the energy to film and record as much as I would have to all month 😫😓 its a lot of work. I am gonna try to post as much as I can ❤️❤️❤️ sorry ❤️
That hair style look so pretty on you 💕👌🏽😻👍🏽💕
Love it !

*hygral fatigue 🙂
I still wouldn’t take the risk to do it.

Out of all the hair products you have used what would you say is your holy grail (shampoo, conditioner, leave in and root moisturizer)?
Hair looked amazing 🙌🏽
Girlll this definition 😍😍😍😍
Great video

Great idea❤
@@michellefrazier3288 Thanks 😉
I love this hair style 😍😍
Gr8 result & ur daughter imitating mom by combing her edges cute.😀
I use nubian heritage deep conditioner masque indian hemp & tamanu for my braid outs. I love it! The definition is so much better & softer to the touch.
Your title girl towards the end mocking her mama is just too precious 🙌🏽

Your hair is very nice😍
Thanks ❤️
Good content ❣ & your baby girl is going to be a natural at styling her hair when she's older 🥰💫

That silicone is probably water soluble which is ideal if you don’t use shampoos with sls
How do you know when hair products expire?

Wow your hair is growing already seems like you just dyed it yesterday.
Tonia Ss her hair grows so fast lol
You should make this your routine. Your hair looks happy with the conditioner for the twist out
Diff products are just formulated to do different things, but that doesn't mean you can't customize how you use them. Looks like a good idea to me
Bomb as always
I love to see you use the Camille rose line
I love your hair, you are so naturally beautiful.
This is beautiful and your daughter is so adorable! How did you maintain this at night? 5 days is great!
I just slept on it lol
@@HazelGoddesssReally? Your hair must be really nice to you 😂
This would be great for us 4c gals! You know our hair literally fights moisture 😂😂😂
So true 🤣🤣
Especially in the winter time!!
i have this deep conditioner in my closet probably collecting dusk right now😩😩
You also want to be careful with protein-based deep conditioners. I made the mistake of leaving it on for longer than the instructions suggested, and my hair was a hard mess.

I’m going to try this because my hair is always so dry
I love using Deep conditioner to twist it always come out bomb
Definitely would use the deep conditioner for a twist out to get the moisture and results 🤷🏽♀️but that’s just me lol
Iyannah Tiasia I wondering can this conditioner be used on relaxed hair.?
Brenda Jones I’m sure you can, it shouldn’t matter. 😊

deep conditioners ingredients are more concentrated than rinse out conditioners
