    The Kepajaran (Main) Intake is a building for those in the Delta Brantas Irrigation Area with a standard service area of 17,942 hectares. The Kepajaran Intake is located on the Voor Kanal in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province. Administratively, the area of Sidoarjo Regency is bordered by, to the north are the Municipality of Surabaya and Gresik Regency, to the south is Pasuruan Regency, to the east is the Madura Strait and to the west is Mojokerto Regency. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 14/PRT/M/2015 concerning Criteria and Determination of the Status of Irrigation Areas, the Delta Brantas Irrigation Area is the authority of the central government which is carried out by the Technical Implementation Unit of the Balai Besar of the Brantas River Region because it has an irrigation service area of more than 3000 hectares . The construction of The Kepajaran Intake is one of the historical legacies during the Dutch colonial government in Indonesia, along with the construction of the Lengkong Dam, which was built in 1852-1857.
    The construction of the Kepajaran Intake aims to plant sugarcane whose yields are for the benefit of the Dutch government. Until 1920, the Kejajaran weir had not been reconstructed so that the Kejajaran weir was more than 100 years old.
