I put a permatrim plate on my cd22 with a Honda 90 and you can really push the sharp bow into the straight on seas. It’s the best mod I’ve made to this boat. I take my “Tater Tot” 50 miles out into the pacific off Oregon and feel so confident in it.

I had the 30' c-dory really nice. the smaller c-dory's are great on fuel but are wave pounders.
We love the C-Dory and do not get the wave pounding with the trim tabs

What were the wind/swell/tide conditions when you made the crossing? Is there an ideal range that you are looking for? I imagine that the middle of the strait can get very rough! I am also a CD22 owner and I made a few trips out to Swiftsure Bank last week and noticed that the conditions can be quite variable. And thanks for the videos!

No clue how I found your channel, but curious what your fuel economy is with the twin 50's? Also why are you running a kicker with twins? I looked but so far I can't find the performance information on your channel!
About what speed were you cruising at there?
We were on and off the throttle, shutting it down in between big waves... About 20 knots. We feel the C-Dory handles very well in all sorts of conditions compared to our other boats we have had. Thank you for the question and for watching!!

Hi John - twin 2009 Honda 50's BF50 EFI. They've run great over 500+ hours each. Hopefully just the start.
