Great video. The apron looks a bit like CPH. :)

    Scandinavians really love Samos! Lol

This is my impression too! Most of the time, there are Scandinavian airplanes on the apron at Samos airport. It must be a great place for a nice vacation.

What a fantastic approach this is. And perfectly executed as well! 👍
(out of curiosity)...was that a Lo brake setting?

Thanks for the friendly words! Autobrake was set to medium due to the short runway. After the landing (flare was less long than pre calculated) and a good initial deceleration, autobrake was cancelled and manual braking with a lower deceleration rate applied.

Loved watching you guys ace this, crazy how close flight sim is to this visually too. Out of curiosity what’s the rule with turning the GPWS system off, is it pilot preference or airline procedure? If it’s procedure to turn it off can you still elect to have it on if wanted?

Thanks for watching and your feedback. We do not switch the GPWS off during any approach. This is an important safety feature that should always be on. We have to fly the approach in a way to stay far enough away from the mountains. Please watch my other Samos video. This also shows the ND and the PFD with the radar altimeter in the cockpit.

@@ApproachandDepartureVideos thank you, did watch that one too, I thought all the low terrain warnings might be triggered an this approach, so thought maybe you turn the GPWS for exceptional circumstances 😂🤦‍♂️

Theywerein a oldNG with aD-check ready 737ng essentialy, why did the flaps fail, in thiscase the complex cable levi system, funny enough they opted for a flower flap landng30or 205 idk, id 25 such storms the more flaps the more of a sail you become are you are essenially adding restirctions to envelope bu enargeningyour wingandlift an seriously a 172knot landing ishot but that is IAS, inthoseweathercoditionsitfeels like a 154knotsaproach at the storm remember that almost killed an aircraft and its 162 passengers onboard+crew, preemtively most airline sshat own during the stor sodid transaia but as the predictions actually were confired in their own spanish plume doplers set up in the netherlands, yes klm and transvia are often hiring storm chasers, and storm chasers real on otencall the weather service wether what kinda category storm is approaching what what does need to be done.
Point is, terrain weather transavia great, and they also are gonna opt and buy airbus A320 neo and a few xlrs ars for those hot days and overbookings and a 100% checknrate
