Health Canada Proposes Changes to Medical Pot Policy

- POT TV - CTV News reports on the new Health Canada medical marijuana regulations. Health Canada plans to get out of the business of producing and selling marijuana and says it will instead set up a system of private grower. The new rules also call for the phasing out and complete removal of all personal home growing by 2014.

You don't need to do any wiring apart from plugging in a light and some fans into a wall socket.
People have aquariums (reef tanks) in their homes that used the same type of equipment.
There are already regulation and laws that cover any electrical alterations.
If it's an industrialized grow for profit, business, then there needs to be regulations just like every industry.
However, preventing people plugging standard appliances into a wall socket is messed up.
How can that help anyone?
i smoke it for extreme joint pain though i havent got my blood test done from the doctor to explain my symptoms i know it's quite serious. percocet does not work for me and cannabis does like 3x better

claims that the current medical marijuana regulations leave the system open to abuse is more an indictment of your supervision of the regulations as directed by Health Canada than it is an indictment of those regulations. After all, to have mismanaged the program so badly that not only has it received complaints from stakeholders, it's been declared unconstitutional so many times that it is a small wonder that law pertaining to possession and production of cannabis even currently exists!
If the plant was made legal tomorrow, millions of hard working canadians could start growing their own plants (it's not hard!). These people would save money that would otherwise go to "criminals".
The government in this country are all hot headed, high horsed wind bags! I emailed my MP last year, at age 19, typed out a roughly 5 page essay explaining to her why I think marijuana should be legal, providing sourced facts, and personal reasons and I get back in response that "because -she is- a Mother and Grandmother, I couldn't possibly agree to legalize a harmful drug and doing so would be a welcomed gift to illegal distributors.. can you believe that!!
I've heard of the "fires" and it's basically the motorcycle gangs that go into grow operations, steal all the pot and set fire to the building, making it look like poor electrical work.

Actually people with licenses to grow cannabis will no longer be able to grow their own medicine starting this year, why didn't they just revoke the abuser's license instead of depriving all those patients of their affordable home grown treatment?
Why are there never any penalties when these officials Lie like this?
I can go and say a bunch of shit about something I don't like but that doesn't make my words truth.
This is just awful its like they got so critical they couldn't even make up a logical reason why it was just a huge political statement. People of Ottawa please vote harper out if you dislike pot that's fine but for the people with medical conditions who desperately need it and are left to the streets to access there medicine that's just terrible have a heart Canada the citizens votes can make a big change it starts with putting harper out.
Who ever said Canada was honest.
The fact that there is no LEGAL market only personifies and drives the black market further into success, sure they bust one or two major grow ops a month but in reality its like cutting off a hair from the head that is the illegal market. LEGALIZE and REGULATE, that is the only way to CONTROL something!

It seems that they couldn't care less about cocain but pot must me the worst ever. Instead of making a big fuss about it why not just show people how to grow it safely, but then the government wouldn't get their cut and screw the little guy.
Health Canada and the RCMP came up with some idiotic excuses/ rhetoric that sounds like propaganda from the 80's.
