102 T Whether or not he is needed is not the point. This morty robot seems to have achieved sentience, perhaps even a "heart" beyond that, and Rick just callously discarded him regardless. This is equivalent to killing a human being, if that is the case.
Yeah, Rick kills people all the time. He is evil, really. He killed a lot of people, collapsed Galactic government which resulted in death of billions sentient being, probably hundreds of billions - because he doesn't like governments and this one was inconvinient to him. He even destroyed nano-universe because he needed electricity for his car.
It's just that suffering of Robot Morty was shown to us, others dying - was not.
+TheEpicGnome Rick has left his family behind in world full of mutants, murdered hundreds of humans and aliens and also killed himself from different universes and you complain that he "killed" a sentiant robot. In a cartoon.
Imperative Games He's not evil he's dissosictive. From his perspective all life is meaningless as regardless of his actions or inactions somewhere in his reality those people still exist.
You see this idea played with with super powerful comic characters such as the Dr Manhatten from watch men.
He gets a degree of omniscience and omnipresence and so reality seems pointless to him. Why bother trying to save man kind when he could create his own world. Hell he has the capacity o completely start everything from scratch.
Rick is in a similar situation.
I mean, look at most god's in our own religions. By modern. Standards many are evil dictators with ego issues. Yet religious people don't see their gods as evil and say things like " God works in mysterious ways".
Rick works in mysterious ways as well.
I'm an agnostic person myself so don't care for religion or for Rick's understanding of his universe.
Is he actually evil though or just operating on a level we can't comprehend?
That's why Rick and Morty is such an amazing show, it's all a very clever social commentary.
You especially see this in season 3 episode 3. Such a simple concept of a pickle Rick and they manage to cover so many concepts about society and responsibility XD

I really like this episode, but this just reminds me of how fucked up this whole scene was. Like, not only did he create robots smart enough to achieve sentience, but he designed a counter override to destroy it, and, for all we know, they're all three "Alive" but the other two accept their existence, but this morty decides to take a chance, goes outside of his acceptable actions and is just erased and loses his gift.

Antares' "auto-tune", Waves' "Real tune" or Celemony's "melodyne" or any other pitch correction plugin will do the job pretty well. You can also try a vocoder but the plugin used there is a pitch correction one
