My dad is from a small town in guatamala where poverty was most common the family was poor but they got by my father was one of 5 kids he was in charge of the cows on the farm as well as the bulls at the age of 18 my grandmother kicked out my father out of the house she was very strict and cold towards my dad work was very tough to get into guatamala you need to have a high school diploma to even work at a fast food place there! My father wanted a better life so he gathered whatever he had and hopped on a train called the beast the train was a cargo train that crosses all the way to california its dangerous and many people have gotten hurt or killed and sometimes caught by the border police. My dad was almost thrown off by the train he couldve lost his life until someone grabbed him unfortunately he was caught and sent back as well as 3 days in jail but he never gave up tried 2 more times the third time he made it crossed over to california got a job at dennys and thats how he met my mom! She was a waitress and he was cook he didnt knew any English when he came over here and stayed with my cousin as well as one of my uncles in a small apartment. My mom and dad dated for 5 months and got married and the rest is history I'm a proud Hispanic girl and I am proud of my dad and mom who sacrificed themselves to bring me here though I gotta say some of my family members hate my parents and some of my cousins dont talk to me but I love the ones who do and I am happy

I lived in Oklahoma, and many times I couldn't tell the difference between a person from Mexico and a Native American from the U.S. That's because they're the same people but in different bordering countries. American is a continent, not a country. So anyone in the Americas are actually Americans and that includes Canada and the Caribbean islands.
