His paintings are so full of harmony. Not too exact ,not too messy, nice colours, some color contrast here and there. It's a pleasure to look at his paintings.

Wat een mooi en interessant filmpje. Ik heb er met veel plezier naar gekeken en het heeft mijn blik verscherpt om naar stillevens te kijken.

The music is hilarious! When it appears the first time re the Rembrandt portrait, it's as if the orchestra had missed the first bus, and now finally shows up, blasts away!

well, you evidently dislike a little pathos in music scores....

hi judith, do you have any suggestions for this "uncontrol"? Further I must say that I adore Dutch still life painting (did you ever see them in real?). Yeah, I love classical music but also rocknroll.

Can anyone recommend me some lectures on any series or individual famous artworks? I am uninterested in technique but very interested in history, thought behind the painting etc etc.
Just spent 25 minutes watching this video + others about talking about Cezannesand I fail to see the genious in that. But I am sure it is there but it has to be something way beyond "the tilting of the objects.... this one has 4 apples..... mixed viewing angles... distorted reality".

thank for your explanation but i wonder about tilting of objects and that the two side of the table do not meet at the right place' perhaps it was uncontrol from a reason of other difficulty? i admire Paul Sezzan because his paintings and the wealth of his colours or the choice of his colours make me fill so much in the right place. To compare to those who painted just like a camera ,and it is boredom.

The plural of still life is...”Still Lifes “. Not still lives.
We are pluralizing the term “still life” not the word ‘life”.

I hear 'still lives' often on other videos.
I see now that you do write, "Still Lifes" in the title.
Most likely, I heard you incorrectly....
