- Some Democrats have signaled they could support Speaker Johnson if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) moves forward with her motion to vacate effort, says NBC News Senior National Political Reporter Sahil Kapur. “There are some chips Johnson has gained with Democrats by virtue of bringing this package to the floor and standing up to his far right wing,” Kapur reports.

It is very hard to understand why so many Americans don't understand that international geopolitics and international affairs, especially when they come to Russia, are crucial and even existencial for America. This is not even about helping other democracies, it is about maintaining the hegemony of American influence in the world, basically because American wealth, American safety and American existence is absolutely relied on that. Not only that, many Americans don't even realise that the USA has a massive amount of enemies in the planet, some of them are mayor military powers, and if America loses the global hegemony in favor of China-Russia-Iran, and loses its allies (or even gets out of NATO), the USA won't be able to defend itself and the total destruction of America would be a question on months. American's safety as a country totally depends on American's presence around the world, that is not just used for hegemony and for economical wealth but crucially to contain the very many enemies of America. If America withdraws from the world, America would be totally destroyed! I think the world is seeing the outcome of having a bad educational system in the US: so many Americans totally ignore on what American's wealth and safety rely.... and many of these total ignorants are in the congress supporting Trump! (especially Marjorie Greene) That brutal ignorance can destroy America!

@@Lauren_1987 Thank you so much Lauren. It is a privilege that you support many of my thoughts. I'm not American, but a Spanish European guy who lived there for some years. We all should understand we are in a terribly critical moment, instead of living in denial and replicating the propaganda of the enemy. Now that the new world is being defined by massive military and economical alliances, the whole West must be incredibly united, more than ever. If any of us withdraw from the rest we all are doomed.
@@alvarobarcala No you're absolutely right, we've built up a huge system of alliances post WWII which largely has prevent conflict up until now, and it's vital for both American defense and allied countries' defense. We'd be absolute fools to abandon that.

So removing him with the help of the democrats is just fine, but keeping him in position with help from across the isle is not. It’s become farcical but it’s actually tragic. This extreme fringe represent no US interests of any kind. Republicans who love the country they helped build and want to live in a functioning democracy had better hold their nose and vote for the opposition this time. Next time you can nominate someone who stands for something and is willing to operate within the boundaries of the constitution, such a candidate might even win.
