Its great to see that prices are holding steady. At our MTA sale the prices were actually better than 2023 on almost every category . Congratulations to Jack !
Awesome stuff Jeromy, I sure wish I had bobcats where I’m at, but I don’t, I’m still finishing up the coyotes I caught so I guess I’ll see how I do on them, congrats on the award and to Jack on his muskrat 👍👍
Great question. The tanned fur I have is extremely supple and soft. The raw fur I sell at the auctions are not tanned. They are just in the dried stage.
Thank you. I think you’re right about the otters. I checked them all out and the trappers did a great job with handling them, also all of them seemed to be extremely large, maybe it is just me. This is a great sale to sell bobcats and otters at.
Pretty good prices alot better than around here. Congratulations on your coyote handling award id like to talk to ya about your coyotes your selling Congratulations Jack great job. Thier talking about opening a bobcat season for us hopefully it goes through
Hey Jeff! That would be great if you end up with a cat season. I’ll let Jack know. He loves seeing the comments. He said last night he is a little embarrassed that he only caught one muskrat. lol. I let him know it’s not always about the numbers, it’s the experience. I’ll get ahold of you about the coyotes, or give me a call sometime.
Pretty neat Don Nichols is still going strong. Wow. I watched him flesh a beaver at Waldo lake, I think, around 1980 or so. He made it look easy and fun. Master of deception.
He’s a great guy and trapper. He remembers most of the trappers that are at the sale every year even if they’re newer trappers. OPB did a program on this sale quite a few years ago. Don was featured as one of the trappers in the video. It’s worth the watch if you want to check it out: watch.opb.org/video/season-2-episode-13-wbz87n/ It’s in the second segment
Heck yeah! I definitely will. He caught 4 coyotes this year, but one of them had some really damaged spots on his fur, so he only sold 3. His eyes lit up when I told him he made $90 this season. He said, “I’m not putting that in my bank, I’m spending it”…..hahahahaaha. I’m still working on money management with him
Good price on your coyotes I only got $18 for mine at the last Idaho sale I will be selling my cats and some beavers this weekend Are you going to go to the NTA western?
Hey James. I did see that sale was pretty low for coyotes. Hopefully your cats and beavers will do good at the next one. I’m not too sure on the NTA Western. I’d try to try to get out there.

Great prices for the cats. I got 9 cats waiting for auction. I'm hoping they do well. From the sounds of it, otter was kind of a bright spot as well.
Thank you. I think you’re right about the otters. I checked them all out and the trappers did a great job with handling them, also all of them seemed to be extremely large, maybe it is just me. This is a great sale to sell bobcats and otters at.
